Re: Mattanite's M22 Franchise Tips

Hello Mattanite and thank you for this write up I'll be looking into this soon. Just a quick question when doing a 32- man offline league do Andy Reid and Pete Carrol retire in the offseason.

If you're doing 32 coach offline then your user HC does not retire like normal. If 32 owner mode then yes, older coaches retire.

There's a column called ScoutScore which goes up the more positive details you put in the spreadsheet but it'll still work if all you put in is the free details in scouting week 1 and you can just put in a certain position or only up to round 3-4 if you want.

The ScoutScore also feeds into the Class Analytics which will tell you the number of players and the Scoutscore with each draft cluster (Top5, 1st, 1st-2nd etc) so you know week 1 which positions are deep or shallow and how best to target your scouts.

Speaking of scouts, the advice I wrote up here has been automated into the spreadsheet, so all you have to do is filter by OT, assign a T3 National Scout, declare which specific position they'll focus on (say LT) and it'll spit out all the final % scouting you'll have come draft day.

There are spaces for combine and pro day but kept that raw as pre combine feeds into the PhysScore instead (thresholds by position too, includes throw and kick power with a throw power profile). If you do want to enter any grades all the attribute columns are there (assumes a baseline to ScoutScore goes up with a C, B or A) and there's droplists for traits... these factor into SkillScore and TraitScore which further help ScoutScore. Injury thresholds factor in too above and below a C baseline (so an F will drop ScoutScore but an A will increase it).

Also it will rank the ScoutScore and compare with the Draft Value Chart to determine if that player is a reach or gem if taken where they're projected. It's not a guarantee, nothing is with scouting now, but could help you to take a player two rounds early or avoid that Top5 potential bust.

Posted a couple of images as examples. Need to check in with Fraser to see what he wants to do with it too (he's half the work).

I've suggested a draft class detail exporter to EA but no idea if it will get traction.
Howdy sir! Love the thread!

Is there a way I can get my hands on this spreadsheet?

Re: Mattanite's M22 Franchise Tips

A couple more teasers of functionality for you guys.

Thanks for all the offers of tips and help. Overwhelming support!

I'll likely create a new thread when it's ready to drop so here can stay as a tips and advice place. Thanks to SMLE Captain Brza for his input on NCAA colleges!

Re: Mattanite's M22 Franchise Tips

The scouting spreadsheet we've designed works on 4 settings, you're rewarded the more info you enter as a complete set but it takes time.

Basic - names and positions, this allows you to use the draft analytics tab and the draft board and top players will use Madden's projected draft position.

Advanced - enter the age, height, weight, injury (when available) and precombine info, allows the ScoutScore to generate and tell you if a player is OK/good/bad/bust/gem value based on madden draft spot projection. Topplayers and draft board will update for your new Scoutscore.

Expert - enter all known grades pre draft. Really hones in on the confidence of the ScoutScore at a position and the Scout Card will now show a lot more info if you can't decide between players.

Master - enter the trait information. This final step really adds to the hair splitting between players as scoutscore further hones the difference between players.

Time to enter all the information:

Basic 224 1hr
Basic 450 2hr

Advanced 224 3hr
Advanced 450 6hr

Expert 224 5hr
Expert 450 10hr

Master 224 8hr+
Master 450 16hr+

I'd recommend basic224 in week 1 of every season so you can set your scouts week1/2 based on class strengths. I'll probably do advanced224 that week and update injuries throughout the season.

The step up to expert is all or nothing on your draft spot ranges as the ScoutScore becomes sensitive to A and B grades. So either do all top50, 100, 224 etc or delete any grades you do enter when setting the draft board order.

If you do advanced and use it to set your draft board in madden you can always tweak the order based on grades you like.
