Madden 22 next gen vs 21 next gen vs 20

I’m a relatively new Xbox series S owner….so most of you know the limitations I’m dealing with as far as storage space goes for games. I’m getting the football itch and my son used up all of my madden 22 trial hours. In your opinion, is madden 22 worth buying at $70 or should I just download madden 21 next gen for free with game pass or stick with madden 20 which I already own from my old Xbox one. I can probably only install one on my Xbox series S. Any advice for a single player franchise mode only experience. I know about the upcoming scouting update, but I’m on the side of not really trusting it. So as franchise mode is currently, which would you choose?

Madden 22 next gen has features that don't exist on the others on one hand. Also you bought a S for reason. If you have a S and it is connected to a 4K TV, wouldn't you want that experience.

But game play wise if you tight on money, play with what you have till black Friday

Yea you’re right about the reason I got a series S….I’m just wondering if it’s worth the $70 or if I should just do something I rarely do and install a non-sports title

I had a really fun franchise in Madden 20, but after all the patches and updates to Madden 21, I feel like that is the superior option. Being able to track super bowl and award winners automatically is an upgrade along with the player movement. It’s free so why not?

Madden 22 with the home field advantage makes it worth it to upgrade from 21 imo. But if money or storage space is that tight, just buy it later.

22 basically plays like nothing you’ve ever played before. You’ll be doing yourself a terrible disservice by not getting it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it. I wish I got to try the trial for 22. I might just end up breaking down and getting the most recent version. All the negative reviews are making me a little hesitant…especially since there is 21 there for free I can install (I never tried 21 next gen). Please continue to share your opinions. I always value OS vets opinions over others I see on the internet (outside of a select few)

I like M20 and I loved M21 on next gen, I probably played 4 CFM's and 100's of games.

That being said, M22 gameplay is better than M21 and I'm getting killed so far in my Lions CFM which is quite refreshing. The CPU QB takes downfield shots and the CPU running game is something you have to gameplan for.
