Madden 22 PS5 game crashing after scouting update

I've played 2 only games and they have crashed (app closes) about halfway through the game. This is after getting the scouting update. I have never had a crash before this. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just had a crash with about 3 mins left in game. First PS5 crash I had with Madden.

The crashing issue is happening when one of the goal line defensive plays are selected.

Mine has crashed twice in the last minute, both with the ball midfield. At least the game came back to the same point so it wasn’t too horrible

I played about 5 games after the patch with no problem. On my 6th game and crashed 4 times already.

Each one was after my QB scrambled or did a sneak.

Yup. First 3 games I played post update were fine. Since then it has crashed on every game about 3 times per game in fact. Very frustrating!!!

I've played 3 games with the new patch and had 3/4 crashes in each game. Usually when I'm in the redzone and calling a play.

Has anyone tried to uninstall and reinstall Madden? I'm going to try that now.

I made it through a franchise game against the CPU without crashing.

Grrrrr! This is getting frustrating real quick! So annoying how one update can cause so much damage to a game. I can’t get through one matchup without it crashing on me, usually several times!

People in my PS5 Madden 22 league were experiencing frequent crashing following the scouting update until they cleared system cache.

To clear system cache, turn off your PS5 (not stand by, completely turn it off), then unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds. Plug it back in after that and you should be good to go.

Going to try this....got 2 crashes post patch that never happened during actual gameplay before the patch.
