I couldn't load the game at all, so I decided to start deleting old save files one by one. You CANNOT keep any previous franchise save files, or it will keep glitching and crash. My roster, draft class, profile and custom playbook files, I didn't have to delete, though. Those files are fine. Only the previous franchise saves have to be deleted, as the new code doesn't jive with it.

By all means, anyone else test this and help me confirm it's the fix overall.

Hmmmm. I wonder if this works for next gen consoles too. I'll give it a shot.

I don't know why it worked for me, but it did.

I'm not experiencing any crashes per any currently listed situations. Like I read where folks are having goal line situations crashing, but I have seen none of that. Custom playbooks are fine, RPO plays are fine, no cut scene glitches. I'm knocking on everything wooden, but things are legit through preseason and game one regular season. I'll get into the scouting portion tonight and confirm no custom draft class woes asap.

Same sitch. Deleted game data, still freezes randomly during gameplay on my xbox one x.

Apologies big time. I know you took a leap in doing that. I'll consider myself lucky, then. I did almost delete a lot of other game saves, even. One site online said that if you have 2K19 or Red Dead 2 saves on your HDD, those codes are clashing with M22 code. Odd. I'm thinking that perhaps the next gen chips just weren't the best manufactured in the first place, as we all know they were rushed out to have any on the market. Aside from just finding one anywhere for purchase, that whole chip thing has worried me from the start and is more of why I am not in a rush for next gen just yet.

Further to any on PS4 that this does work for - I am through week one with a custom draft class being used, players favorited and even fired/hired/set regions for my five scouts, and there's no issues to report. I'll keep marching on this weekend and report back afterwards per fatigue and some of the specific play calls that others are saying lock up systems.

Ever since I got madden it crashes when working on custom playbooks.. I don't lose anything but the patches haven't fixed it
