Not surprising for EA to abandon franchise again. At least we know why the mode is in such crappy shape in M22 and we can give up hope of it getting patched up.

We finally got a little bit of momentum the past year and just like that it's gone. I'd be curious to know if Swami & Deuce got shifted to NCAA. It would be nice for one of these games to be worth playing.

Disappointing that they canceled what they already planned, but it’s not too surprising. The mid cycle updates to franchise were always going to end eventually in my opinion. I can’t think of any other sports game that does it, don’t remember The Show or NBA 2K ever doing it, nor FIFA the few years I’ve bought it in the past. It was nice while it lasted.

If this is true I'm honestly not surprised. But my lack of surprise has more to do with the EA higher ups not knowing what they're doing more than anything else. Companies suck man because the people at the top don't care about anything but money.

That's not inherently BAD, but when it's clear that nothing else matters....not quality of the product, public perception, not how your workers are treated, that's when it becomes a problem. Again corporations suuuuuuck.

They also never fixed the bugs from the Beta in June, the bug where CPU won't hire user coordinators that was promised in July, or released the Playbooks blog that was supposed to release in August. This is a full fledged failure to deliver by EA.

And just like always they'll get away with it and their pockets won't be hurt because all of the MUT packs make more for them than all of us franchise players ever could.

Franchise folk better remember this when M23 Beta is used to get pre-orders.

I knew something was up with how the Dev team completely shut off interaction right after launch.

If correct, the notation that the departed staff (ie resources) will not be replaced is very telling of what to expect M23 Franchise to be like

I don't get that either, because the multiplayer is also horribly broken. I exclusive play H2H and I walked away from 22 after less than 20 games. I got furious enough watching the busted coverages and guys refusing to respond to my user input. If I also paid $100 for my team and they still did that? Wow

It's not a surprise considering the shortage of manpower everywhere right now. They want to make sure they meet their release for NCAA.

Even NHL 22 has barely seen any updates since release or roster updates.

Someone on Twitter mentioned that they have looked and looked over the net where someone from Madden said 3 Franchise to Madden this year.

Someone said it was in a interview and the OP stated that was for Madden 21.

Before adding more updates to the mess I wish they would put 5th year options back in, make it so we can see mock drafts during the draft, make it so we can adjust favorites lists during the draft like it was, improve cpu team roster and draft logic, make it so we can use practice mode again after you play a weekly game, and fix 31/32 man league glitch among other things.

Just so we're clear.....after all of that talk and all of that hype and hashtags what has actually been fixed in franchise in the last 2 years?

All we got was a pretty half ***, non sensical scouting update.. people can like it, that's fine, it certainly makes it harder to draft, but to say it's realistic at all is laughable...we still have the following, I would say major issues:

Poor ai draft logic
Penalties don't work
Poor AI cap logic
Poor AI roster managemen
Injured reserve doesn't work right
No 5th year options
No coaching carousel


I rarely ever complain, but I spent$70 and feel completely ripped off right now
