Simming 3/4 defense OLB sacks

I don't play games, but SIM and draft. I am having problems getting OLB/LB sacks.

I play 3/4, ravens D and disguise 3/4. Even after I draft speed/power rushers, or free agents who are overall 90+, I cannot get consistent sack production. 1 year 8 sacks, the next 2 sacks...

In adjusting roster depth, how do I adjust them correctly to get realistic consistent sack production? And esp not from my DE/DT who are heavy and slow speed?

Do I add them Ot LE/RE 3rd down rush? Keep them as 3rd down LB's for pass coverage? Very confused as I've tried multiple times and cannot make it work.

PS: I use the bears and slowly upgrade a team thru many seasons

I can’t offer you much help. Sacks have always been tough in madden. In my franchise now Aaron donald broke the sack record week 8, finished with 34 haha. Everyone’s else was normal.

The best thing to do is put your OLBs as the Passing/3rd down DEs on the depth chart. You can also assign your DEs to passing down DTs to help limit the number of sacks from your DTs.


The other issue is player ratings. The Pursuit rating impacts sacks in simmed games. So, simply having speed and agility, and even finesse or power rush ratings that are high will not result in high sacks. For whatever reason, the pursuit rating seems to have a major impact.

Also, make sure that your OLBs are pass rushing LBs in the traits.
