John Madden should be the only choice for the cover this year..

Because without John Madden there is no Madden Football Video Game & there is no EA..

This would be the best way to honor him while adding updated Madden commtary to the game with him as the Commtator!

The Tweet says “behind every Boom” which was Maddens catch phrase probably means Madden will be on the cover. At least one of the covers.

Standard edition Joe Burrow or Aaron Donald.

Then a special John Madden edition as the higher tier edition(s).

IMO it wouldn't need to be a standout player, just someone emblematic of the theme of the game, a coach + emphasis on franchise, or a journeyman and an emphasis on legacy and an NFL career, etc.

Agree though, should be Madden. Anything else is whatever, more interested in details of the edition than the cover, but it seems like the easy pick.
