So the Peace Sign pre-TD celebration is gonna be in the game... the same peace sign that is a taunting penalty in real life.

Apparently the interactive intro this year is two versions of John Madden coaching All-Madden teams against each other in the 70's era Oakland Coliseum, along with Madden commentary.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the gesture is only a penalty if it is directed at another player. As I understand it, a player may indeed run to the end zone looking straight ahead, at the crowd, or at the video board and hold out a peace sign.

I guess this just doesn't move my needle much one way or another and

I can see where it would move others in either direction.

They have taken stuff out of the game and brought back in or retired it

throughout the past 30 years or so.

I'm numb to it by now.

I don’t think the needle moves much for anyone these days. Madden is madden. Some people love it, some people hate it, some play it as a mediocre game that can find ways to enjoy. People rarely switch camps.

Probably right, though it usually is directed at other players. It rarely gets flagged, but I remember the NFL saying after the Bills game in the playoffs that it should have been called and the refs missed it. It is what it is. That stuff sells and if they can include that celebration in some MUT packs it'll make them a ton of money. Just a shame that it's the first image of the game that we're seeing.

I agree. It’s Madden, it’s gonna play like Madden for better or for worse. I try to convince myself to enjoy it for what it is, but I think the real problem is I’m getting older and my interest in games declined a bit and it takes something really good to pull me in. Heck I stopped playing The Show and only put about 10 hours in 2K this cycle. But if I could have 1 game be great, it would be Madden more than anything else.
