That is correct. Weekly training is not needed.

Re: TDawg3782's Madden 20 CFM Progression Tool

This seems like it's going to be awesome. Maddens XP system for progression is lackluster and this sounds like a ton of fun.

I had a couple questions (sorry if this was answered, I read it through and wasn't sure if I missed this or not): Does player performance have any impact on what happens with their progression? It seems like no but I wanted to double check.

Second question: Do you have any plans (if possible) on adjust player regression rates? From what I can see once players hit the wrong side of 30 in Madden they hit a pretty steep decline. I mostly notice this in quarterbacks since we've got guys that are truly elite in their late 30s and now into their 40s (Hi Tom Brady) and it seems crazy to me that Madden completely disregards this as a possibility.

I want to make it clear that I really have no clue on how any of this works so my question might just look really stupid .

Thanks again for the tool. I'm excited to try it out. This really feels like it's going to breathe some fresh air into Franchise mode.

Player performance makes no impact on progression.

There may be some possibilities on regression. There is an option in the editor called player career phase. It has option for incline, plateau, and decline. I haven't tested but it could be possible to lock certain players at incline (wouldn't actually incline since we aren't using XP anymore) or plateau to keep a player from regressing. Again it will need testing and it's something I plan to investigate but down the line a bit.

OK thanks for that info. I'm excited to see what you end up doing with this in the long run

Hey man. I'm trying to get this to work and I don't think it is for me. I followed your steps but unsure of exactly what steps to take to save the excel file AFTER pushing the macro button. Could you explain exactly how to save after the macro button is pushed? Step 11 I'm not sure what exactly to do.

Once you hit the macro button and load your exported file it does all the work for you. After it's done just save my tool (Ctrl+s) and close it. You don't need it anymore. Go back to the franchise editor and import the file you exported back in. Save the franchise. Done. Go load up Madden.

Re: TDawg3782's Madden 20 CFM Progression Tool

Just saying, I hope you don't visit player performance influencing progression - it is a VERY slippery slope, very complicated, and I believe, philosophically wrong - a player doesn't become better because he performed well or vice versa (performed poorly so becomes worse). It was his ability set, circumstances, and to some degree, luck, which influences performance. And it is these that create the stats. He doesn't suddenly become a better or worse player because of them - it was his abilities, circumstance, and luck that put those stats into the realm of possibility. You have underachievers and overachievers all the time - that is simply life/reality. I am definitely not in favor of any performance based progression/regression.

If you decide though, to go this route eventually, please allow it to be OPTIONAL.
.................

And thank you for making this great utility! It does away with the idiotic XP system Madden now has, and I am very grateful for that!

Re: TDawg3782's Madden 20 CFM Progression Tool

I'm worried I may have done this wrong. My players progressed but none of the CPU-controlled teams saw players progress. I had their progression set at "every four weeks" and changed it to "every week" after I edited the save. Could that be what's messing it up for me?
