NFL 2005 Draft Picks

I am creating the draft picks from this weekend's marathon. I will create as many as I can. I already have maybe a dozen or so guys that I had to draft to make necessary roster movements (releasing a fourth guard, etc.). Could anybody help me come up with the appropriate ratings? I believe I have Alex Smith at 82, Ronnie Brown and Braylon Edwards at 81 (close in ratings because of the parity in the draft this year). I made Antrel Rolle, 8th overall, about a 77 to give you guys an idea. I used the scouting reports strengths and weaknesses and tried to translate those into ratings. After the first round and a half or so, I will want to create late round guys that will make impact this year. Please post any ideas here as I play with these scouting reports.

Yours sound pretty good. I have DT's rosters, but his rating are kind of off. 83 for Rodgers and 77 for Smith... Try to make a McPherson if you are looking for suggestions, he isn't on DT's rosters so I'm sure alot of people would appreciate having him. And being a Colts fan, he ranked the Colts 2nd round pick really low at 64. He isn't that bad... and he is rated lower than some 6th rounders...

I will post full CAPs for some of the draft picks I have made and people can tell me what I need to further fine tune up or down.

Re: NFL 2005 Draft Picks

One quick thing - we should set some sort of system for speed such as a 4.5 = X speed, etc. That would make the players more to their real life counterpart, just a thought. I am trying to translate the 40-yard dash into a speed rating.

Re: NFL 2005 Draft Picks

Wow, great! I will definitely go back and double check my CAPs. Thanks a lot! I will post my findings either tonight (late) or tomorrow.

These are the ones I have done thus far:
Alex Smith, Ronnie Brown, Braylon Edwards, Cedric Benson, Carnell Williams, Adam Jones, Antrel Rolle, Carlos Rogers, Mike Williams, Demarcus Ware, David Pollack, Erasmus James, Fabian Washington, Aaron Rodgers, Jason Campbell, Dan Cody, Courtney Roby, and Trai Essex (the later picks only to fill roster holes so I could remove players, and make roster moves, etc.).

I will post the whole CAPs with the changes included.

I will use the performance test results posted on these profiles: http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles - hopefully all the tests that you provided are on these profiles.
