Roster Minimums

EA can't ever get this roster thing right! They have all these limitations & minimum player requirements so there is just no way to manually get these rosters correct. The 25 player limit on creating players aren't even close enough to fix these problems. I have used the idea posted earlier of switching OL positions to help with the issue but still you can'ty get the rosters to match actual NFL rosters. EA does this year in & out with these rosters on Madden & I just can't understand why in the crap they can't get someone in their company(maybe even an NFL player or someone in player management) to help fix these problems. It's a nightmare to get the rosters even close to correct. Every time a trade or player is cut then you have to go to drastic measures to have minimum players or not have enough players. I get so mad when trying edit the rosters to their actual NFL teams. You can bet EA won't have the rosters fixed when the update comes out soon. I would just like for them to be close so we can use the 25 create-a-player limit to add players not in the update & have the available FA that should be included in the roster update.

I think they need to make the requirements flexible enough so roster can be edited. Also maybe they can include a practice squad for each team and have us start with more than 53 players and cut players when you first start franchise.

Real simple. Roster minimum to carry is 45, maximum is 53. That simple. No limitations on what positions have what numbers. The whole roster breakdown should be more of an information screen, not a mandatory roster count.

Percisamundo! Another annoyance is after a couple years of my franchise some teams have 46 players, some have 55, and the rest fill in the between. No. Wrong. 53 players, that's the what every team carries, just like 25 in MLB and whatever NBA carries (12 I think). Another annoyance is the IR system. This little feature is completely off but I won't go off on a tangent because if it's in the game, it's in the game, right?

I agree with your analogy & Ilike the idea of having a practice squad for the teams. They(EA) has the only official license for the NFL so why not go ahead & make Madden like the NFL & create a practice squad. Also, the limits on rosters should be like the NFL. Now,the rosters require you to have 10 OL(2 at each position) but in reality many NFL teams don't carry this many OL or DL. Hopefully with a wishlist & some pounding then EA can fix this with next years Madden but don't count on it though.
