No PS2 updates...

I see all these roster projects going on and the updating of the rosters but none of them seem to be for the PS2. All of them are for XBox. Is there anyone who is doing a PS2 update?

I'm currently working on a roster update for PS2 in Sharkport-Xport format. I just don't trust EA with their updates so I'm trying to see what I can come up with. I have about 10 teams totally done with the rosters very accurate. EA just makes it so hard with the way they make you manage Madden's rosters. I don't know how it's going to turn out with the rosters I'm working on from their first update & Kruls help with that roster also.It seems EA Sports hasn't ever heard of the position of LS(Long Snapper) but every team surely has one. (Da!) Where in the heck did EA come up with these roster requirements? They sure didn't check the real NFL roster requirements. It's just mind-boggling to me how crazy their roster management is with Madden. They bought the official NFL license & can't even come close to the NFL rosters actualization. I'm going to attempt to have the roster done before the weekend. I probably will not be getting them done before the first game tomorrow night though. I'm not promising anything with this roster because I may not be able to get them accurate due to EA's nonsense. If I can't get them right with the current roster from EA then I'll see what I can do with their next update. I know I want the rosters to very accurate so I'll do my best. I'll post back later with more info on how things are coming & possibly even a roster file for d/l. Thanks!

Thanks tonybologna. I/we really appreciate it. I know how hard it is to try and update the rosters. I tried it last year and I was unsuccessful, but I hope you have better luck than I do. If you need help with anything, just let me know, and I'll do what I can. Until then, keep up the work and I can't wait for the rosters.

I currently have 12 NFL teams rosters completely done. These are pretty accurate despite the roster requirements & limitations. I want to say that I started with the update from Krul with this roster so there is some credit to him also. I still have a lot to do but I''ve done up to the Dolphins so far. I'll post back with another update on how the rosters are going probably tomorrow. Maybe by then EA will have come out with their update & I can go with that to get the roster right. When I say right I mean as close to the real thing as I can get. Thanks!

unfortunately people seem to create at least 10 xbox rosters and no PS2 ones. This is surely a sin. Let us pray that someone posts and updated PS2 roster. If they do, their sins will be forgiven.

I have three PS2 versions out. The third is as accurate of September 2nd, before all the cuts. I am waiting for the EA update to come out before I start work again. Currently, as my file stands right now, this is the list of players that are out of place:

I agree with you SpanishFly 100%. I'm still working on the update from Krul's roster update. I have about 20 teams now totally done & I've about run out of room. Ther is no way with how EA does things to get things straight & keep from tapping into the FA pool to take players to edit them. I am doing this editing players from the FA pool but trying to leave the players that will probably be picked up sometime during the season. It's just so hard due to the roster problems from EA. I now have 63 CAPS so only 1 left to create wiith like 12 teams still to edit. I'm trying to save that 1 spot for a undrafted rookie FA because I know that I'll find at least another one with 12 teams. I honestly don't know how this roster is going to turn out. I too may have to wait for the update from EA but I still bet after that we'll have problems. I'm mainly doing the rosters for me but I'm going to post my update when & if I get them to match the NFL teams as close as possible. I wiil not release an update here for members to waste their time with. I'm very particular with how I want the rosters to be the actual thing to real life NFL rosters. EA sure can't get close.
