I have been looking for fairly updated rosters for Madden 2005 (Xbox) and I found some but they are not a roster file and instead are in a franchise.

Is there anyway I can export these rosters and save them so that I can start my own franchise or play against a friend using them?

I am sure I am just stupid but I can't figure it out....

You can't export the roster but you can export the teams. It's under the team info menu.
