How do you get PS3 rosters from the PC?

I know for the 360 you need the discontinued Datel devices, is there something similar for the PS3. Or since Sony uses standard memory devices, you don't need a 3rd party tool?

Cool. I am not happy with the 360 at all, the final straw was MS forcing me to pay for Live Gold to get updated rosters. So am going to sell it and get a PS3.

My PC is just too nice, not really any 360 games I want to play that I would not rather play on my PC. I just should have picked up a PS3 in the first place is really what it comes down too. I debated for a long time, Mass Effect is what tipped the scales and I just really don't feel like playing it. LOL I am hoping to beat it before I sell the 360 though.
