Bears Roster

I am kinda curious as to why EA left Kevin Payne off of the Bears roster for Madden '09. He was a 5th rd pick in the '07 draft and made the team. He got injured last year... I don't think he was ever on Madden '08. In this years game, he is on the free agents list. Even in the roster update (online), he still is with the FA's. It's so weird to me because he is 2nd string at both FS and SS. He is also the 1st team's 3rd safety (he comes in the goalline and 2 TE/1 WR package as the Bears take out a CB and replace with a S... kinda like a nickel substitution with the NB for an LB or DL).

Same here. At least there is room to add him though. That's what I did.

Im still waiting for Caleb Hanie (QB) to be added so I can start the franchise

yeah, there is a whole list on krul thread on who is currently on their respected teams but is on the FA in madden. I think the reason is that EA projected them to be cut from the 53 men roster after preseason but seeing how they did the roster like a month ago, the roster isn't perfect. They'll have a more updated roster once the season starts.
