While Marshall was unknown, it was because he was a rookie.

It is highly likely that Marshall would have succeeded with any quarterback.

86 for Rice? That is absolutely insane. Are people forgetting the rating were scaled down a bit this year?

I don't understand what list this is????

Hester is ranked 21st in yards, 26th in tds and 22nd in receptions. His rating seems about right to me. maybe could go up to 79.

Sidney Rice is 6th in the NFL in yards at 585. So why wouldn't he be an 86. What would he have to do to get there if he isn't there already.

I understand that we haven't really seen Marshall play a full year yet without Cutler throwing to him, but there has been a marked decrease in his receiving yards as well as the number of receptions he gets per game this year. Maybe the new wunderkind turd of a coach you have there hates his guts? Or I think, more likely, there's a profound lack of Cutler goin' on in Marshall's life.

Check it out, I'm just citing statistics:

I AM irritated that Jerry Angelo thought it was a good idea to convert a guy who was on pace to be the greatest return man in NFL history into a C+, #2 receiver at best.

He's like the NFL's answer to Matt Kemp. $10M body, 2 cent head. Hester is an incredibly fast athlete who happens to play wide receiver. But he's no wide receiver. His contract says he's a wide receiver, I understand that he plays there. But until I see him snag a fade pass and drag two feet to catch a touchdown, he won't graduate to that status in my book. But I'm just a dude who watches games, my opinion doesn't mean a damn thing, and it's not going to influence Devin Hester's career one way or another. So I must drink.

Oh well. At least other receivers on the field haven't had to physically push and pull him into the right pre-snap position. That was last year. He IS getting better. But he's still got a long way to go.
This is actually a solid discussion sparker. Devin Hester wears number 23, yet he plays wide receiver. Receivers are only allowed by NFL rules to wear jerseys number 10-19, and 80-89. The number 23 is used for DB's and RB's. Reggie Bush tried to change the system and take number 5 as a rookie, but was denied due to his position.

How in the hell can Devin Hester be a WR with the number 23?
