CUSTOM Realistic Roster Madden 11 (Holdouts/Suspensions/IR)

Ok just another question as I get close to being finished with this roster, do you guys want any of the hypothetical CAPs that I have created so far? Guys like Scott Frost and Doug Flutie.

Yeah, exactly. How many of these teams could have totally different seasons, like look at the Steelers. Two of their star players do or are accused of doing, bad things off the field, one gets suspended for the first third of the season the other is traded for bread crumbs. How different would their season go if Rothlisburger was starting from week one and he still had Santonio Holmes to throw to? Another thing about the whole Punter thing, this also circumvents the CPU in Madden. If you or the CPU automatically reorganizes the Depth Chart, those guys are in play again. The CPU will not change a player's position, even if he is a great WR and I have him set as a Punter. I really don't see any better way to accomplish this. I know it is complicated but when I release the roster I will have a week by week break down team by team. This will mean that you will have to manage all 32 teams in Franchise mode, but its only week by week and it will give you an accurate representation of what that game will be like (who will be playing and who won't) as near as it can be forecast right now.

Ok I am in the home stretch, After I finish the CAPs I need to do up the IR/Suspended/Hold out week by week list. Just on a side note, I have never actually released one of my rosters before, what is the best host site to use? Rapidshare?

Also I plan on doing things like this. 1. Release the roster with the missing players and free agents that I added, Jeff George will be there but none of my other hypothetical Caps will be. 2. After this I will release the same roster but with the addition of guys like Scott Frost and Don Majikowski, classic or semi-classic QBs and a few others. After that stage 3 will be my 98 Vikings/Broncos roster. Then to cap it off I will do an update for the beginning of the Season. I plan to stop there so for franchise reasons my roster will start you off just as the 10 season started, everyone on IR/suspension/holdout who is, ect.

So I just edited in the signings of Westbrook and Betts by the 49ers and Saints respectively. I should be done with all the CAPs late tonight. I am going to leave a lot of these Bubble/Undrafted guys as free agents, mainly because I would have to release too many guys off the roster in order to make room for them. When you guys get the roster you can make whatever changes you want to pick up the players that you want. After final cuts I will do an update to get everything in line for the season.

Well I started adding in a few more guys who are missing from 11. It is just about done and I should have it up soon. I also have a shortened list of injured/holding out/suspended players. I have it set up team by team, I will probably do another one week by week. For some injured players as well we really don't know how long they are going to be out for so I have had to speculate for a few.

Edit: I have also added a veteran player from madden 10. In reality the guy has a way better chance of ending up in prison then he does suiting up for a football game, but he was a record setter and it would be interesting to have the guy on the filed again, because he did set records and get a ring.

OK V1 is DONE. Anyone who is injured and I cannot fit on the roster is going to show up as a free agent punter, set to 12 OVR. I have tried to do this only with guys who are on IR and won't be coming back this year anyways. The reason I did this is so when you take your franchise into year 2 you will get players who will be playing that year but are not included in the standard roster. You will also notice a few rookies, but at the same time, if you look at the Free Agent Kickers, you will see players who have retired from the game. Just sign them and set them back to the position they play.

So to sum it up, 12OVR Punters are guys who are on IR this year, guys who are 12OVR kickers are retirees who might be brought back into the game again.

Here is the players list that I created as a run down on the inactive players and when you can bring them back into action in your franchise.

One more thing, with some of the guys who are on the roster bubble, I have them in there as free agents, if you want them on your team you can choose who you release in order to free up roster space to sign them, now for the list.

^=Set to Punter, when they are ready to come back, just edit the player's position, they are still on the team's roster
+=released from the team, is in the free agency list as a Punter so they are not signed by another team. It is reccomended that you set these guys back to their real positions by editing them before the off season where the game may remove them due to low OVR, this will be avoided once they are back at their real position.
