Xbox roster updating question

My apologies, I could not get search to work for some reason. Is there anyway to download official updated rosters without a gold membership? I feel stupid for asking, but this is the first time in a very long time that I do not have a gold membership so I have never had to find out before. (Decided it was not worth the money since I hardly ever used gold features) I'm not about to blow 50 bucks to be stuck with default rosters.

same thing happened to me, but no you can't get the rosters from the madden online unless you have Gold. you can however download the rosters from this site use modio/usb drive to add them to your xbox manually. takes about 5 minutes to learn how to do it and a cheap 1-2g usb drive shouldnt be more than 5 bucks

I'm so choked EA did this to this years game.
I'm not even big on playing online, I'm a fan of Fantasy Chise.
Maybe I'll have to return it, since I'm not going to spend $60-$70 for live.

I'll do the whole USB thing I guess.

I just cracked open NHL 12 to see if the same thing was going to happen...
D/L'd the newest rosters the came out on the 12th no prob without live.
