So when I rented NCAA for 1 night (was about 3 weeks ago) I was hoping to sim a couple seasons to get draft classes. Well I ran into the shoulder pad problem upon import, but it only affected
some of the players.
So upon creating a new franchise last night, I began thinking about trying out draft classes from NCAA again, but wondering how to avoid the shoulder pad problem and it led me to this:
When I downloaded an NCAA roster (one made from someone on here specifically for draft classes) I viewed a couple players in Edit Player mode on NCAA before simming my season. I noticed that Andrew Luck had his pad height maxed out (he was one of the guys who suffered this problem in the madden import, and I remember this because I was looking at his ratings/equipment). So what I did was simmed a season in madden and simmed through the draft to take a look at who was being effected by this, and I noticed Andy Murray wasn't (I didn't look at very many players) unfortunately I didn't look at his pad height in NCAA before importing, but I'm thinking that this problem is being caused by a hangup in that value.
So if anyone was willing to test something, as I don't have NCAA I would greatly appreciate it (if this proves true then this will solve a massive headache for many people). Try adjusting the pad height
lower in NCAA on a group of players, then viewing how they look in madden upon importing the draft class.
If this has already been attempted then I apologize, and feel free to let me know. Just curious if this is the cause for the glitch
Or, a possible quicker way: download this roster in NCAA (
Robcards) and compare the pad heights between Andy Murray and Andrew Luck. If Murray's are way lower than Luck's, then I firmly believe that that's the issue
