why is my roster not the same when i start owner mode?

why is my overall not the same when I start my franchise? example: rogers is like a 98 and Mathews is 95. but when I start my franchise rogers is like 94 and Mathews is 99?

The overalls in CFM are based off whatever your team scheme is... So for example if your scheme calls for a power back, then guys like Marshawn Lynch will have a higher overall on your team because they fit your scheme, but if you put Lynch on another team like say Philadelphia that uses more of a speed back then Lynch's overall wouldn't be as high because he doesn't fit the scheme that the Eagles run. All of the attributes don't change.

I was wondering the same thing. also Im having trouble finding out the difference between the default roster and the updated roster. Once you download the new roster do you have to manually load it or does it automatically load and take immediate effect when you visit the depth charts on the main menu of the game?

This was the way it worked in M13, also. Ratings were different in CCM than in "Play Now".

I think it's just player transactions and such on the roster update. Patriots Kenbrell Thompkins(WR) and Zach STUDfeld(TE) weren't on the original roster but are on the roster update, also Vontae Leach was put back on the Ravens roster
