Default sliders?

I asked this in the ncaa forum.. so to kill time I'll ask it here...

is there anyone else that doesn't change gameplay sliders? I refuse to change sliders because I feel that once you start changing sliders, you will never be satisfied

i dont change sliders either...the only time i monkied around with sliders is with mvp 2004 cause that game was hopeless

That's certainly a valid worry to have. Coming from someone who fiddles around with sliders all the time (can't speak for anyone else), It can and often does take over the game and time spent on it. It almost becomes a game in itself sometimes, trying to find that perfect balance. That's actually part of the enjoyment for me, I guess; attempting to emulate what happens in real life. And I'll be first to admit that I never do find that balance for a lot of games, either because of AI limitation or just plain getting sick of testing. But for the ones that do, they gain some long-lasting replay value. I've mentioned it many times before, but High Heat '04 was one of those.

This is not to say I don't enjoy the default settings on all games, in fact I'm having a blast with MVP '05 on the regular MVP setting. If a game is that good out of the box, I don't even touch the sliders, except to experiment here and there.

Sliders are good for tweaking small things ie. penalties and kicking game, but it's not a good sign when you use them to overhaul the entire game.

I hate doing it, but I had to for NCAA 06. Hopefully I won't have to for Madden.

never,ever,never.....play it straight out of the box on the next to hardest level and am a "coach" only player. makes for quiet a challange my brotha!.....happy gaming to all!
