Why?

This game came out in August 2007. Here we are in January 2008, and were still trying to come up with sliders to make this game play like football should be played. I know this has been said before, but come on EA, you have been putting out this game for enough years that this shouldn't be an issue anymore. EA has the exclusive rights to NFL football video gaming, so isn't it about time they do the right thing by this game?

Here's what you do Bro to make it all better......Take your copy in hand...head to the roof of your Apt. Building or House....hold your copy of Madden 08' with both hands and arms stretched out infront of you like your Tom Tupa and proceed to boot it as if you trying to pin the opposition inside there own five yardline.....Dust of your hands and proceed back to the front of you TV and Xbox360 and pop in APF2K8 or like a few others,even NFL2K5 which is now BC(BackwardsCompatible).....you'll feel much better.........well at least did........Peace

I'll do you one better...come down off your roof, place said copy of Madden '08 in your car, and trade it in at GameStop or Game Crazy for $20, which, miraculously, is what I got for it yesterday. With that money, you can go find NFL 2k5 for $1.99, or you can pony up $29.99 for an XSata, download the updated 2k5 franchise, and have a real football game that even includes the full collegiate draft class for 2008. Is it sad that this is still the best option? Perhaps, but at least it's an option!

That is the very best thing to do,which is what I did....seeing as tho I already had my NFL2K5 from my original Xbox and currently waiting for my Xport from codejunkies.com.........there is just something about punting a copy of Madden 08' off of a roof top that makes me get so much more enjoyment....I feel that that's what this game is meant for.....a sport I like to call "Roof Punt"

Well, you have to understand that we aren't the "target audience" for EA's Madden series. "We" don't reflect the "casual gamer." The casual gamer doesn't care if a mediocre defensive lineman can dominate your All-Pro offensive tackle on every snap, as long as they have Peyton Manning or Tom Brady throwing the football, they could care less what happens in between.

The "hardcore" community only accounts for probably 10% of Madden's sales. So, they are less likely to produce a game that appeases such a small percentage of its customer base. It truly is sad, though. Madden has such great potential, this year's game was almost a really amazing game. Aside from the rediculous CPU pass rush, complete lack of presentation, the all to prevalent interception problem, and the CPU QBs all being stupid on All-Pro, the game was starting to make strides in gameplay.

I agree with you Eaglesfan17, and this isn't just with the Madden Franchise, its clear across the board with all there sports titles from NBA Live,March Madness,and NCAA football and etc.My approach to this situation is a simple silent boycott.I will never purchase a EA sports game again.I read not to long ago that the Fight Night franchise will no longer be coming out be EA closed there studio in Chicago because it wasn't putting up numbers like Madden and NBA Live...HELLO!!!!...Fight Night Round 3 was the game that EA Sports put out on the Next Gen consoles......This goes to show that EA Sports doesn't care about nothing but the all mighty dollar.......
