Re: CPU vs CPU dummy profile Sliders

Been doing some testing on this over the past couple of days and it would appear that the higher the setting number for fumbles and interceptions leads to two things:

1 - better running game for cpu (still have fumbles)
2 - less interceptions for cpu.

I'm still testing but am quite encouraged by this...I'll report back with some stats once I get a few more games in with some adjusted sliders.

Thanks,

I will post my sliders shortly also.

The biggest problem I am having is the running game at 3.0 YPC , should be slightly over 4.0., and no injuries showing up in CPU vs CPU games. Interceptions are a small problem also.

Re: CPU vs CPU dummy profile Sliders

Here's the settings I'm presently using and some game stats..must stress the games have been 'play now'..I'm presently picking games from a franchise with the same settings to see how that plays out..

QB Accuracy: 0
Pass Blocking: 12
WR Catching: 5

Broken Tackles: 100
Run Blocking: 100
Fumbles: 75

Reaction Time: 90
Interceptions:40
Pass Rushing: 100

Reaction Time: 0
Block Shedding: 0
Tackling: 0

Special Teams
FG Power: 33
FG Accuracy: 15
Punt Power: 45
Punt Accuracy: 55
Kickoff Power: 47

8min quarters.

San Diego 34 @ Pittsburgh 13

Roethslisberger 27/43 309yds 1td 3int
Rivers 30/39 331yds 1td 0int

Parker 12/31yds
Tomlinson 20/109 2tds
==============================
NY Giants 24 @ Jacksonville 27

Garrard 23/33 188yds 2int
Manning 33/43 388yds 3td 3int

Taylor 20/62yds
Jacobs 18/43yds
Bradshaw 7/46yds
==============================
Oakland 20 @ Buffalo 16

Edwards 25/37 215yds 2int
Russell 18/28 120yds 1int

Lynch 27/151yds 1td
McFadden 24/125 1td
Fargas 6/30
===============================
Green Bay 12 @ Carolina 5

Delhomme 27/40 203yds 3int
Rodgers 18/26 151yds 1td 0int

Williams 27/97yds
Grant 25/62yds
===============================

The high settings for interceptions and fumbles has done 2 things - improve the passing game (less interceptions) and improve the running game, albeit with the downside of less fumbles - although I still see some.

Re: CPU vs CPU dummy profile Sliders

I'm still tweaking these during a franchise, I'm not happy with the number of picks so I'm reducing this again down to 0 and also playing with the defence reaction rating as well...h'mmm

Re: CPU vs CPU dummy profile Sliders

Have reduced Int slider to 0 and reaction time to 7: These are franchise games, cpu v cpu.

PHI 14 @ NYG 19 (played in light snow)

Manning 20/32 217yds 1TD 0ints
McNabb 27/38 284yds 2TD 1int

Jacobs 27/92yds
Westbrook 14/24yds
==============================

CHI 17 @ HOU 21

Schaub 17/29 160yds 1TD 3ints
Grossman 20/30 165yds 2ints

Green 26/146yds
Forte 22/203yds
==============================

CIN 3 @ PITT 30

Roethslisberger 27/34 274yds 1TD 0ints
Palmer 31/42 273yds 2ints

Parker 21/126yds
Johnson 17/34yds
==============================

Looking better in terms of interceptions...the lowering of the passing slider may be having an effect on the running game - maybe too many yards, so may need to tweak rushing defence..still testing all of this though...won't be starting a cpu franchise until the patch is released, as this might all need re-visiting especially if we get cpu sliders in the dlc...but so far, looking better. Some games we will get QBs throwing more intereceptions and RBs having great or poor games - that's reality really...

Re: CPU vs CPU dummy profile Sliders

Here are my sliders: results are good overall, except for my below concerns.

9 min Quarters
All Penalities maxed to 100

QB Accuracy: 35
Pass Blocking: 75
WR Catching: 45

Broken Tackles: 100
Run Blocking: 100
Fumbles: 100

Reaction Time: 65
Interceptions: 20
Pass Rushing: 100

Reaction Time: 0
Block Shedding: 0
Tackling: 0

Special Teams
FG Power: 60
FG Accuracy: 35
Punt Power: 60
Punt Accuracy: 35
Kickoff Power: 60

Giants 35 @ Seahawks 14

E. Manning 39/51 485 yds 3td 3int
M. Hasselback 26/39 219yds 2td 0int

B. Jacobs 33/58yds
J. Jones 21/40 2tds
==============================

Chargers 26 @ Dolphins 18

P. Rivers 33/50 313yds 1td 1int
J. McCown 22/30 228yds 1td 3int

L.Tomlinson 27/109yds
R, Brown 20/29yds
==============================

Broncos 30 @ Buc's 7

J. Cutler 31/39 272yds 3td 2int
J. Garcia 24/42 207yds 0td 6int

S. Young 28/89yds 0td
E.Graham 18/46 0td

The biggest issues are the YPC for the running game (3.1 or lower)

No injuries in CPU vs CPU games (You can't run a league with no injuries)

Interceptions in some games seem excessive.

Re: CPU vs CPU dummy profile Sliders

Since patch 2 I seem to be getting more and more interceptions - which isn't good at all...with the int slider at 0 I've been fiddling with other sliders slightly and what was a decent set is now out of whack...I've upped to 10min qtrs with the QB snap delay and am getting the same number of plays but QBs can be throwing anywhere between 3-5 ints per half...anyone had any better luck with the ol' cpu v cpu sliders since the patch?

I'm not too enammered with Madden at the mo, these ints are really killing the cpu v cpu gameplay.
