Re: Wii Sliders?

Preseason - Game 1 - Philly @ PITTSBURGH - W 16-13 (OT)

This game had a really nice flow to it. Had a 7-3 lead at 1/2 time. Did feel a little like the computer was trying to "give" the opponent the game as I had 3 fumbles and an INT deep in my own zone (-4 TO Ratio total), but the Defense was able to keep them off the boards for the most part. Got lucky in this one as David Akers missed 4 long field goals for Philly.

My gameplan in this one was to stack against Westbrook and make McNabb beat me with his weak Rec corp. On offense I stuck with Rushing and short passing to offset their strong defensive backfield.

Total Offense:
PIT - 231
PHI - 310

Rushing Offense:
PIT - 110
PHI - 105

Mendenhall - 12 / 53 - 2 FUM
Parker - 8 / 22

Buckhalter - 18 / 42
Hunt - 3 / 28
Westbrook - 5 / 11

Passing Offense:
PIT - 121
PHI - 205

Dixon - 4 / 8 - 74yds - 1 Sack
Roethlisberger - 5 / 10 - 52yds - 1TD - 1INT - 1 Sack
Leftwich - 3 / 6 - 27 yds - 1INT - 3 Sacks

McNabb - 12 / 19 - 107yds - 4 Sacks
Kolb - 9 / 19 - 126yds - 1TD - 1INT - 2 Sacks

Washington (WR) - 5 / 74
Davis (TE) - 2 / 6
Mendenhall (RB) - 2 / 18

Brown (WR) 4 / 35
Jackson (WR) 4 / 56
Lewis (TE) 3 / 36

Penalties: PIT 2/20; PHI 2/25

Re: Wii Sliders?

Preseason - Game 2 - PITTSBURGH @ Buffalo - W 34-14

Wasn't even as close as the score indicates. The game was 2 red zone picks away from being a total wipeout of the hapless Bills. I felt that I could victimize their secondary and hit on a big play-action pass in the first half to set up the first of three Willie Parker TDs.

Once up on them I forced them to pass and took Lee Evans out of the game.

Total Offense:
PIT - 393
BUF - 196

Rushing Offense:
PIT - 129
BUF - 47

Mendenhall - 11 / 61
Parker - 13 / 47 - 3TD

Jackson - 4 / 24
Lynch - 7 / 21

Passing Offense:
PIT - 264
BUF - 149

Roethlisberger - 14 / 18 - 226yds - 1TD - 0 INT - 3 Sacks
Dixon - 4 / 8 - 67yds - 0TD - 2INT - 3 Sac

Edwards - 9 / 12 - 164yds - 1TD - 2INT - 2 Sacks
Losman - 8 / 13 - 43yds - 0TD - 0INT - 9 Sacks

Parker (RB) - 4 / 33
Holmes (WR) - 4 / 141
Sweed (WR) - 2 / 40

Johnson 5 / 25
Evans 4 / 59
Reed 4 / 96

Penalties: PIT 4/45; BUF 7/54

Just wanted to thank you, AcousticNut, for making the effort to post these sliders and game results.

I'm still finishing up a franchise I started back when I got the game, on Pro difficulty (to help me get used to the controls, etcetera), but I intend to try out your sliders when I start the second year of the franchise.

Re: Wii Sliders?

Thanks for the thank you! I hope that they give you the experience that you're looking for. I know that I've been very grateful to modders and the like over the years for making good games great. Just hope I can give a little back to the community.

Preseason - Game 3 - PITTSBURGH @ Minnesota - W 23-10

Was able to get out to a slim early lead and then lean on the running game. My opponent again was weak on FG's (1/3) so I think I may have to bump the CPU FG Rating up a bit.

Vikings came out run first and hit on a couple of PA passes, but I was able to keep them contained in the RZ. As mentioned, if he had hit the FG's it would have been a much closer game.

Total Offense:
PIT - 367
OPP - 294

Rushing Offense:
PIT - 124
OPP - 94

Mendenhall - 15 / 60
Parker - 12 / 45 - 1TD

Taylor - 10 / 58
Peterson - 10 / 26

Passing Offense:
PIT - 243
OPP - 200

Roethlisberger - 13 / 22 - 179yds - 1TD - 0 INT - 0 Sacks
Dixon - 5 / 7 - 67yds - 0TD - 1INT - 1 Sac

Jackson - 1 / 2 - 62yds - 1TD - 0INT - 2 Sacks
Losman - 13 / 20 - 156yds - 0TD - 0INT - 3 Sacks

Sweed (WR) - 5 / 94
Ward (WR) - 5 / 81 1TD

Rice 3 / 52
Ferguson 3 / 40

Re: Wii Sliders?

Did just a touch of tweaking to the sliders based on pre-season stats:

CPU RB Ability: +1 to 14
CPU FG Accuracy: When I went in to modify, noticed that I still had them at 5. Inceased to 7 as per my sliders on the previous page.

Re: Wii Sliders?

Preseason - Game 4 - Carolina @ PITTSBURGH - W 29-26

Finished the pre-season 4-0, but this was one of the most interesting games that I've played. I was totally dominated offensively and defensively by Carolina, but 2 Mewelde Moore KRs for TDs put the game at 17-14 Carolina just after 1/2 time. At 1/2 time I only had 1 first down to 22 for the Panters.

The team rallied in the 4th quarter as their were 3 lead changes and I finally put the ball in the end-zone with 4 seconds to go to take the game.

Total Offense:
PIT - 181
OPP - 389

Rushing Offense:
PIT - 42
OPP - 136

Mendenhall - 8 / 20 - 1TD
Parker - 4 / 8

Williams - 15 / 77
Stewart - 9 - 40

Passing Offense:
PIT - 139
OPP - 253

Roethlisberger - 3 / 5 - 18yds - 0TD - 0 INT - 2 Sacks
Leftwich - 14 / 21 - 145yds - 1TD - 1INT - 1 Sack

Delhomme - 16 / 25 - 228yds - 2TD - 1INT - 3 Sacks
Moore - 5 / 14 - 49yds - 0TD - 1INT - 1 Sacks

Sweed (WR) - 7 / 65
Davis (TE) - 3 / 50

Smith 9 / 89 1TD
Hackett 7 / 89
Jarrett 3 / 71

Penalties: PIT 4/35; BUF 3/20

Re: Wii Sliders?

Game 1 - Houston @ PITTSBURGH - W 20-7

Houston came out running the ball early, but I was able to capitalize on 2 turnovers to take an early lead and get them into passing mode.

A game-ending injury to Matt Schaub, PIT Ball Control, and double-coverage on Andre Johnson pretty much sealed this one up early.

Total Offense:
PIT - 236
OPP - 245

Rushing Offense:
PIT - 98
OPP - 24

Parker - 17 /57 - 1TD
Mendenhall - 10 / 37

Slaton - 11 / 21 - 1TD
Leach - 1 / 3

Passing Offense:
PIT - 138
OPP - 221

Roethlisberger - 86.9 R - 16 / 27 - 150yds - 1TD - 0 INT - 2 Sacks

Schaub - 50.5 R - 4 / 7 - 68yds - 0TD - 1INT - 2 Sacks
Rosenfels - 60.9 R - 8 / 17 - 180yds - 0TD - 1INT - 2 Sacks

Holmes (WR) - 4 / 36
Hoyte (FB) - 3 / 22
Miller (TE) - 2 /23

Davis - 5 / 109
Johnson - 4 / 102

Turnovers: PIT 0; OPP 2

Penalties: PIT 3/35; OPP 4/45

TOP: PIT 17:58; OPP 10:02
