Pass in depth

Hello, everyone, this is the first message I am putting here in the forum.
I'm playing Madden 08 for Xbox 360 and i can not complete a pass in depth to my receivers.
What should I do to get complete a pass of 40 yards or more?

When I need to go deep I typically try deep crossing routes over the middle. I find that (with the skill level I'm playing at, at least) that flat out deep routes don't have much success, unless you have someone like Devin Hester in the slot matched up with a linebacker.

If you have a fast receiver lined up against a cornerback of slower speed, look at the safety. If he is close to the line of scrimmage, hot route your receiver to a fade route. Snap the ball, watch your receiver get outside the cornerback, and toss it up there. most of the time he will get ahead of the cornerback and catch, usually running it in the rest of the way. This seems to be the way i get a deep pass. One on one with no safety help.

Seriously. This is the ONLY reason i complete deep passes.

I look for the matchup advantage obviously and bomb it deep. I have to control the wr from about 20-30 yards to the ball landing area. And user catch.

No choice about it. 80% of the time, the wr does not catch it and gets big hitted if u let the cpu do it.
