Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders
Wow... I need to re-learn how to play QB.
Browns (Me) @ Ravens (CPU) Final Score: Ravens 30 - Browns 10 It was 7-3 Ravens at the half, but I gave up a quick TD in the 3rd and 16 pts in the 4th. Team Game Stats Cleveland - Total Offense: 244 Rushing Yards: 6 Passing Yards 238 First Downs: 13 PR Yards: 88 KR Yards: 158 Total Yards: 490 Turnovers: 9 - i dont want to talk about it 3rd Down Conv.: 2-15 (13%) 4th Down Conv.: 0-0 (0%) 2-Pt Conv.: 0-0 (0%) Red Zone %: 2-3 (66%) Red Zone TD: 1 Re Zone FG: 0 Penalties: 2-19 TOP: 19:13 Baltimore - Total Offense: 210 Rushing Yards: 111 Passing Yards 99 First Downs: 8 PR Yards: 45 KR Yards: 77 Total Yards: 332 Turnovers: 3 3rd Down Conv.: 2-19 (10%) 4th Down Conv.: 0-0 (0%) 2-Pt Conv.: 0-0 (0%) Red Zone %: 3-3 (100%) Red Zone TD: 0 Re Zone FG: 3 Penalties: 3-45 TOP: 28:47 Passing B. Rogers - 10 Solo, 6 TFL, 2 Sack D. Jackson - 5 Solo, 2 Ast, 1 TFL, 1 INT K. Coleman - 4 Solo, 2 Ast, 2 TFL, 2 Sack D Bowens - 2 Solo, 1 Ast, 1 TFL, 1 Sack F. Washington - 3 Solo, 1 TFL, 2 INT E. Reed - 1 Solo, 3 INT D. Foxworth - 1 Solo, 3 Ast, 1 INT D. Landry - 4 Solo, 1 Ast, 1 INT Kicking P. Dawson - 1 for 1 (24 Yds) S. Hauschka - 3 for 4 (20, 21, 37 Yds) This was actually a good game despite me throwing an ungodly 7 interceptions. I think the reason for all my picks is because of changing from very slow to fast game speeds (i hope). 21 of Baltimore's 30 points came off of picks returned for TD's, including a 100 Yard return by Ed Reed after a great drive by me. I bumped the quarters to 12 minutes with 20 sec runoff and got in 136 Total Plays. This is a tiny bit high, but the closest I have gotten it to the 120-130 range I'm looking for. Houston, have you noticed that Ask Madden rarely, if ever, calls shotgun formation plays? Even when I am under pressure every play, he always keeps me up at the line to take the snaps which gets pretty annoying. |

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders
For everyone on here who is complaining that these sliders, Houston's sliders, won't work during Franchise, I will be starting a Franchise in a matter of minutes and will post my first game on here. I will then continue to follow and track my season on here, because quite frankly I have nothing else to do and I want to help everyone out as much as people have helped me out. Here are some of the things I will be doing to assure myself that I have a realistic feel to the game.
1.) Using Houston's Sliders. 2.) 11 minute quarters, 20 second run-off of play-clock. 3.) Asking Madden on Offense and Defense. "You Play to Win the Game." - Herm Edwards |

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders
Alright guys, I just finished Week 1 of my Franchise with the New York Football Giants. Here are the stats from the first game.
NY Giants vs Washington Redskins GIANTS Eli Manning: 12 of 14, 180 yards passing Brandon Jacobs: 26 attempts, 66 yards, 4 catches, 61 yards Ahmad Bradshaw: 11 carries, 9 yards, 2 TD's Hakeem Nicks: 2 catches, 34 yardsTravis Bechum: 1 catch, 24 yards SKINS Jason Campbell: 15 of 31, 201 yards, 2 INT's Clinton Portis: 8 attempts, 32 yards, 3 catches, 67 yards Malcom Kelly: 2 catches, 34 yards Chris Cooley: 2 catches, 29 yards Bottom Line Eli was on target the entire game, and the screen pass worked very well. The first quarter ended with the Giants up 14-0. Campbell through an INT that I ran back for a TD. At the half it was Giants 27 - Redskins 3. The Redskins Defense showed up in the second half, and that mixed with me mostly running the ball to kill the clock, held me to only a Field Goal in the 3rd quarter. Tuck and Osi were able to get some decent pressure on Campbell and take him for a couple of sacks. The Skins forced a fumble on Bradshaw and one of their linebackers ran it in down the sideline for their only Touchdown of the game in the 3rd quarter. Overall, I feel that this was a VERY realistic game. I know yesterday's Giants Vs Skins game was closer than this .. but I didn't expect the EXACT same game to occur in this one. FINAL SCORE New York Giants 30 -Washington Redskins 13 Week 2 Matchup New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys I am predicting a shootout for this one. But, with these sliders, each and every week is different, so we shall see which Eli decides to show up and play. "You Play to Win the Game" - Herm Edwards |

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders
Alright guys, I just finished Week 2 of my Franchise with the New York Football Giants. Here are the stats from the second game.
NY Giants vs Dallas Cowboys GIANTS Eli Manning: 15 of 22, 165 yards, 1 TD Brandon Jacobs: 22 attempts, 193 yards, 2 TDs, 1 catch, 9 yards Domenik Hixon: 2 catches, 52 yards, 1 TD Hakeem Nicks: 3 catches, 38 yards Travis Bechum: 1 catch, 17 yards COWBOYS Tony Romo: 15 of 26, 231 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT Marion Barber: 14 attempts, 72 yards, 3 catches, 67 yards Felix Jones: 3 attempts, 10 yards, 1 TD Roy Williams: 1 catch, 12 yards, 1 TD Bottom Line The Giants played very well this game. The Cowboys were able to drive it down the field when they needed to, but were unable to score and keep the game close throughout. The second quarter was the big quarter for the Giants. Ahmad Bradshaw returned a kickoff for a TD after the Cowboys were able to score their first TD. Then, Eli was able to hit Hixon in one on one coverage for a 40 yard TD pass. The D was able to pressure Romo a few times but weren't able to sack him many times due to his scrambeling capabilty. Overall, this game played very well and the Giants are looking like the team to beat in the NFC. FINAL SCORE New York Giants 40 -Dallas Cowboys 17 Week 2 Matchup New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers I was off with my prediction against the Cowboys. Im guessing this game will also be another Giants win, but im hoping to see a surprise Tampa Bay team show up and give me a run for my money. We'll see what happens. Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders
Game 3 in the books. The New York Giants were UPSET by the Tampa Bay Bucs in a low, last-second scoring contest.
NY Giants vs Tampa Bay Bucs GIANTS Eli Manning: 13 of 37, 163 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs Brandon Jacobs: 16 attempts, 75 yards Domenik Hixon: 3 catches, 38 yards Kevin Boss: 2 catches, 20 yards Mario Manningham: 1 catch, 32 yards, 1 TD BUCS Byron Leftwich: 16 of 29, 224 yards, 2 TDs Carnell Williams: 18 attempts, 22 yards Antonio Bryant: 3 catches, 126 yards, 1 TD Michael Clayton: 3 catches, 31 yards, 1 TD Bottom Line This game was really a perfect example of how Houston's sliders work. After putting up 30 and 40 points in weeks 1 and 2 respectively, the New York Giants were able to only put up 6 points until late in the 4th quarter. Eli Manning connected with Mario Manningham for what appeared to be the game winning TD with 40 seconds left to go. After Leftwich was rushed out of the pocket and forced to throw the ball away on 1st down, he connected with Antonio Bryant on a 71 yard TD to put the Buccs back up 17-13. It appeared as though the Cornerback went to swat the ball down but mistimed his jump and Bryant was left open. He broke a tackle at around the 3 yard line and was able to get into the endzone for the TD. In the final attempt to win the game, Eli Manning through his second pick of the game to Ronde Barber and the Buccs upset the 2-0 New York Giants. FINAL SCORE New York Giants 13 -Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17 Next Week's Game New York Giants @ Kansas City Chiefs Houston's sliders are proving to be fun and realistic. We'll see what happens in Week 4 when the (2-1) G-men visit the (2-1) Chiefs. "You Play to Win the Game" - Herm Edwards |

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders
Finished a game with these sliders; Here are a few stats
Packers (Me) vs Bills Final Score: 34 -7 Rodgers: 22/35; 230 Yards 1 TD Losman: 13/31; 261 Yards 1 TD, 1 INT Grant: 18 carries for 100 Yards 1 TD Jackson (GB): 10 carries for 47 yards McGahee: 4 carries for 15 yards (injured) Omon (Buff): 13 carries for 45 yards Penalties GB: 4 for 45 yards Buffalo: 3 for 20 yards Overall I could see where they COULD provide a challenge if I kept playing with them because I did go up early (20-0 at halftime) and I made some nice defensive stops like sacks on 3rd down where if they would have converted they would have had a shot at some points. Provided a good enough challenge for me to try again and maybe get a closer game. |

Graham - 1 for 2 (28 Yds) Overall another good game, got in 120 plays. Led 20-3 at halftime, but Cincy made it a game before i put it away with 10 points to end the game. Lewis finally had a good game so I didnt throw nearly as many picks as normal. 12 minutes and 20 sec runoff is working great. This next game was the best game I have played so far on Madden. It was back and forth all game, Edwards kept going down and Fitzpatrick came in and lit me up before throwing a pick in the endzone and the ending was disappointing, but great. Browns (Me) @ Bills (CPU) Final Score: Bills 38 - Browns 35 24-21 Bills at the half, I came out and scored a TD right away and was up until their game winning drive with 1:00 left on the clock. my 52 Yd FG attempt was short to force overtime. Mitchell - 4 Solo, 2 Ast, 2 TFL, 2 Sack, 2 INT P. Posluszny - 5 Solo, 1 Ast, 2 TFL, 1 Sack, 1 INT Kicking P. Dawson - 0 for 1 R. Lindell - 1 for 1 (42 Yds) As I said, best game I've played so far. Although the Bills came back, it was great to see that the CPU actually can make some smart play calls and drive down the field. 135 Plays total this game, which is right around where I'm aiming for at 120-130. A note to anyone switching from very slow to fast - It seems that on very slow the defenders have a slower reaction time. I have bee getting picked off a TON if you have been reading my posts, and it seems to be because throws that can be completed on very slow are jumped by D Backs and picked off. On fast, if you try to foce a throw, the CPU will make you pay for it |

Re: NFL on FOX: Final Sliders
the thing with playing on fast is this to me. almost every sunday im in my seats at the stadium. when i watch football on tv it looks way faster than what i see at the stadium. watching it live lets you see how they really move. and to me its not like fast. its more like medium!
