Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders

why cpu and user are so uneven?
If i`m correct, Bil plays with the FS alone...

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders

I don't post on here often but I have to thank Bill for these sliders. I've started a franchise with the Redskins and I was 5-2 using v1 and v2 of his sliders. Even with those two losses, I never really felt that I wasn't in control during games and it didn't seem challenging...even the stats were fairly realistic.

I just finished a game on fast speed and everything seemed right...even though I lost against the Falcons 20-17. They continually pounded Michael Turner (as I would expect) and Matt Ryan made some good throws and some bad ones. J. Campbell played as expected and even throw a game ending pick (a horrible pass that missed an open Randle El and hit the SS in the chest. It was frustrating, but very realistic.

Final stats:

Passing:
ATL
M. Ryan 15/25 152 yds 0 TD 1 Int 60.8 QB Rating

Was
J. Campbell 8/23 114 yds 0 TD 1 Int 33.6 Rating
(Falcons got pressure but it wasn't unrealistic)

Rushing:
ATL
M.Turner 32 car 142 yds 4.4 avg 2 TD Long of 14
J. Norwood 2 car 12 yds 6.0 avg 0 TD Long of 13

WAS
C. Portis 23 Car 105 yds 4.4 avg 1 TD Long of 12
L. Betts 3 car 15 yds 5.0 avg Long of 6

Receiving
ATL
M. Jenkins 7 rec 72 yds
C. Williams 2 Rec 29 yds
T. Gonzalez 2 Rec 20 yds (back breaking first down in the 4th quarter though)
R. White 1 Rec 9 Yds
J. Peele 1 Rec 2 yds
G. Reynolds 1 rec 8 yds
B. Finneran 1 Rec 12 yds

WAs
S. Moss 3 Rec 47 yds
Randle El 3 Rec 41 yds
C. Portis 1 Rec 10 yds
C. Cooley 1 Rec 16 yds

Defensively, I got good pressure and 2.0 sacks (my LE and Haynesworth)...the Falcons got 4 sacks. D. Hall also got me a none cheap Pick 6.

The lost was due to some bad decisions by me in the game planning and I like that. Only real gripe is that Gonzalez nor Roddy White got many looks from Matt Ryan. Other than that, it was enjoyable

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders

I play on slow speed, so this was a big change for me. This game was year 2 of my Brown's franchise and I was playing the Ravens.

Final Score - 33-6 (Browns win)

brady quinn - 26/35 325yd 1td 74% comp
joe flacco - 10/22 163yd 3int 45% comp

my rushing game - 27car 82yds (around a 3 yd avg)
ravens rush game - 19 car 58yds

3 drops by browns receivers
0 drops by ravens

1 sack by browns
0 sack by ravens

browns 4/5 on fields goals (1 fg was blocked haloti ngata morphed through my lineman)
ravens 2/2 on fgs

The computer was pretty terrible at passing. 52 of Flacco's yards came on a missed interception by one of my DB's. Neither team ran the ball very well, but my HB sucks so that could be one reason. I would have had at least 3 more sacks but the qb kept doing that ridiculous lame duck throw that needs to be patched. I had one pick 6 from the computer when a duck throw was caught at the 10 yard line and I walked into the endzone.

I think I'll try at least one more game to see if it's any closer than this one. Is there any way I can adjust the sliders to make the computer QB better? Or will that mess up the sliders completely?

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders

I'm gonna go ahead and second 'fast' as the speed to play with these. I was playing 'very fast' near the end of v1 and through v2 and just made the switch at v3. Can't really identify what it is, but fast just feels better. Maybe that extra smidge of time to read and throw the ball...

To answer your question, I tried playing lots of different ways--coach mode, controlling QB, only, and controlling everyone.
AWESOME. I've decided to switch to coach mode, and I can't wait for those sliders. Be sure and update them on your first post so I don't have to swim through 10 different pages.

Mostly, but most other people don't. I'm putting up coach sliders shortly.
