Same game in default All-Pro:
Vikings(me) 39 - 36 Patriots (winning FG in the last seconds, was down 27-7 at half)

Passing:
Brady: 68%; 395 yards; 3 TD; 2 INT; 99,7 rating; 1 sack
T.Jackson: 62%; 396 yards; 2TD; 1 INT; 114,5 rating; 2 sacks (Only 1 pass completed over 20 yards in the air, got most of the yardage thanks to YAC)

Running:
Morris: 18 att; 53 yards; 2,9 yards avg; 0TD
A.P.: 32 att; 140 yards; 4,3 yards avg; 2 TD (62 long) -> stuffed in 1st half, big 4th quarter

Receiving:
Welker: 19 rec 162 yards 0 TD (27 long)
Moss: 6 rec 142 yards 2 TD (54 long) -> twice in single coverage = 2 TD

Peterson: 7 rec 178 yards 1 TD (85 long)
Harvin: 5 rec 136 yards 1TD (74 long)

Got 4 drops with your settings
Got 1 drop in All-Pro

But this time Pats run back a kick off for a TD, and i got a punt return of 62 yards

Re: LAKE4742's Madden NFL 10 SIM Experience

Last thing, i think Interception slider have effect on how well defensive palyer make a play on the ball, not how well they catch INT

I got several dropped INT in All-pro default, but defenders were doing play on the ball when they were in good position.

So i would keep Int sliders to 50. In your settings, DB were standing doing nothing when they should have make a play. Didn't occur with INT at 50

What's funny in that with Pass reaction at 50, coverage was better than with Pass reaction at 60+

Re: LAKE4742's Madden NFL 10 SIM Experience

Kinda weird. But, like you said, the INT slider probaly coincides with other coverage sliders, making it seem as if the coverage is better. I think it may be trading one extreme for another. Players may stand around at times, but with it too high, players will catch everything (and move really weird), and that's not realistic. And although some players might stand around at times, there were less yards thrown, less INT's, less TD's, AND less points scored. The same thing applies to the amount of drops. Hopefully, you know 4 drops is alot better than 1, because that's more realistic. Players don't catch everything, and certainly not less skilled ones.

I like how those stats look.

Re: LAKE4742's Madden NFL 10 SIM Experience

Yeah i'm fine with the 4 drops
50 is too high for WR catch. So i agree WR catch sliders should be around 40-45.

I'll play some other games and i let you know the results.

Just for info i play on Fast 50 threshold.
I just changed the Human/CPU/Special team, to match yours.

Re: LAKE4742's Madden NFL 10 SIM Experience

Tried these for a bit. Played in a "Play Now" game as the Steelers vs. the Titans, and played the first half. At the half, I was up 38-17, and each team had over 200 yards of offense, not to mention that I had a punt return and a kick return for a TD (by Santonio Holmes). Running was good. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't impossible. A few concerns...

1)I was not able to get any sacks. Granted, I didn't play a whole game, but that did concern me slightly.

2)The high yardage total/score at the half. I'm thinking I should tweak the defense to make it a bit better on both.

I tell you what I did like A LOT though...

1)Game speed. I was pretty sold on slow or very slow 'till I played this game. It kept me interested.

2)It felt like a real NFL game.

I'm going to play a few games in Franchise with these sliders. I'm going to do a fantasy draft 'chise as well. We'll see how it goes.

Final changes are made! Much more defense, and speed accuracy now. Breakdown on first page.

Re: LAKE4742's Madden NFL 10 SIM Experience

Before I try these I'm curious about the results you guys are getting on special teams, specifically kick returns. DeSean Jackson + 0 speed threshold has been an automatic touchdown for me every time I happen to feel like scoring one. It's like the "wide open gameplay" from the college game.

Perhaps playing on Very Fast limits the herky jerky stuff. I don't know yet. Any comments?

Good point. Returns are fairly easy. Actually, this is another deep-rooted problem within the engine that's being addressed in the upcoming patch.
