Icon14 Bubbaman's Post-Patch No "House Rules" V-Slow Sliders

My goal here was to get a challenging set of sliders on the "Very Slow" speed setting. I don't play online, and I'm in year 7 of my 'chise w/my sh*tty fav team (the Lions, in case sh*tty didn't clarify). I've played every game up to this point (roughly 100 or bordering on pathetic), and have come to a point where I feel pretty comfortable with the sliders. I've tried my skill (it's fumbletastic!) which is still a joke. CPU still sends the house too often. I get semi big games running and/or passing vs certain teams and then get one facet or sometimes both shut down against others. This set isn't for newbies, as the cpu running game will have you throwing your effing controller if your not filling gaps. Some of these settings you should already have something you're comfortable with, and if so, just disregard mine(time/runoff/fat/inj/pen/s.t.). Anyways here we go...

Edit: Just wanted to add there are no "house rules" for this set. I do use "Ask Madden" for offense only and select one of the 6 plays offered to me, but I prefer to play that way. If Madden gives me a screen play and I want to run it, I do. However if Fatty John wants me to punt/kick a FG on 4th and short and I feel he's an imbecile as John has the tendency to be - what I'm sayin' is do whutchulike.

11 minute quarters/15 sec runoff (I don't run down the play clock, adjust accordingly based on your style of play)
Injuries - 73 (I've had 4 or 5 season ending injuries in damn near 7 seasons of play)
Fatigue - 73
Speed Threshold - 73 (as has been stated in other slider threads, this is very important. Any higher and the CPU will have trouble mounting an effective run game with "faster" LB's and DE's. Any lower and be prepared to experience ALOT of big plays)

Penalties - 100, except: Holding 53, FM 63, Clip 68

Human left/Computer right

QBA 7/100 (Passing sliders for cpu are the most subjective)
PBL 7/20
WRC 25/100

BT 20/65 (This has biggest impact on CPU run game...again, adjust to taste)
RBL 50/100 (Do not lower for CPU)
FUM 58/58

RT 0/100 (Do not lower)
INT 1/13
PR 91/100

RT 0/85
BS 0/65
TKL 0/85

FGP - 38
FGA - 25
PP - 50
PA - 25
KOP - 40

So that's it...try 'em...enjoy 'em...or don't enjoy 'em and go back to what you were using.

Re: Bubbaman's Post-Patch Challenging Very Slow Sliders

Colts (me) vs. Cardinals

Score: 27 - 40 (would have been closer but threw a pick six in the 4th quarter)

Peyton Manning: 23-45, 401 Yards, 2 TD, 2 Int (one was a bad read and I got hit as I threw the other one in the red zone)
Kurt Warner: 22-33, 323 Yards, 2 TD, 0 Int

Indianapolis Rushing: 11-35, 0 TD
Arizona Rushing: 27-153, TD

Reggie Wayne: 6-100, TD
Pierre Garcon: 5-149, TD
Larry Fitzgerald: 6-93, TD
Anquan Boldin: 5-119, 0 TD

Conclusion: One of the best games that I have played. Loved the gameplay.

glad you liked 'em. This game definitely has issues, but I think it says something that I haven't played every game in an entire season (let alone 4) in a football game since NFL 2k1 on the DC (r.i.p).

Re: Bubbaman's Post-Patch Challenging Very Slow Sliders

Another amazing game.
Oilers (me) vs. Bills

Score: 27 - 24

Kerry Collins: 10-23, 166 Yards, 0 TD, 2 Int (struggled entire game)
Trent Edwards: 20-29, 245 Yards, 2 TD, 0 Int
Ryan Fitzpatrick: 2-2, 14 Yards, 0 TD, 0 Int (Edwards got knocked out for a drive)

Oilers Rushing: 28-208, 2 TD
Bills Rushing: 19-87, 1 TD

Justin Gage: 3-48, 0 TD
Kenny Britt: 2-21, 0 TD
Josh Reed: 5-122, 1 TD (59 yard TD catch)
Terrell Owens: 5-29, 0 TD (double covered the entire game)

Conclusion: Possibly the best game I have ever played in Madden. I was down 21-7 at half with a struggling Kerry Collins, but I kept pounding the rock. And with a little help with the kick return game climbed back into the game. I got the ball with 6 minutes left and drove down the field. I tied with the game with 3 minutes left. Kicked the ball off and the Bills went 3 and out. Got the ball with 2 minutes left at the 21, and I threw a WR screen for 59 yards into field goal position. I rand down the clock to 2 seconds and kicked the 27 yard game-winning field.

Re: Bubbaman's Post-Patch Challenging Very Slow Sliders

I just had a similar experience in my 'chise, divisional playoffs vs Giants. Stafford had 3 picks in 1st half (all my fault), and I was down 26-14. Took opening 2nd half drive down for a td, took the lead briefly late in 4th 35-34 (they converted 2 pt convo). they kicked a 40 some yarder with about 1 min to play due to poor coverage mostly on my part. Got a good return to the 40. two or three quick passes and a timeout later I'm inside their 40. Got a nice RAC by Calvin to the 27, ran once to set up gw field goal as time expired, 38-37. Difference in the game was Giants settled for 5 FGs. Just to post a couple #'s I wrote down:

Det 21, GB 15
Rodgers: 24-39 264 0/0
GB 14 car, 64 yds, 0 tds
Det 30 car, 106 yds, 2 tds
(this was maybe the 1st time the CPU DOMINATED # of offensive plays, but again, settled for 3 FG's)

Det 38, NYG 37
E Manning: 19-28 268 1/0
Jacobs: 18/117/0
Det: 23 car, 116 yds, 3 tds
