lower is run more, higher is pass more.

Now that this was brought up, would someone be willing to post each slider/sub-slider and the direction for easier and harder. Cpu and human.

Re: Why are we moving the sliders to the left?

Human:

Slider - Passing

QB Acc - Move to Right to improve your QB Accuracy

Pass Blocking - Move to Right to improve your OL's ability to engage in blocks (i.e. hold defender)

WR Catch - Move to Right to improve your Wr's Catch Ability (Less Drops) and Route Running

Slider - Running

Broken Tackles - Move to Right to improve ability to break tackles once they have been engaged

Run Blocking - Move to Right to improve your OL's ability to engage in blocks (i.e. hold defender)

Fumbles - Move to Right to improve your ability to hold onto ball (less fumbles)

Slider - Pass Defense

Reaction Time - Move to Right to improve your defense's ability to react to CPU's passing (i.e. read routes and adjust)

Int - Move to Right to improve your ability to intercept balls (vs. knocking balls down)

Pass Rush - Move to Right to improve your defense's ability to break through a block once it has been engaged

Slider - Rush Defense

Reaction Time - Move to Right to improve your defense's ability to react to CPU's running (i.e. mostly lb's ability to read where run is going and rush to fill that gap)

Block Shed - Move to Right to improve ability to break through a run block once it has been engaged

Tackle- Move to Right to improve ability to engage in tackle (i.e. to increase ability to start the tackle, not the "success" of the tackle)

***CPU's sliders do the same thing, except for the CPU.

***As for the overall HUM Sliders (Pass, Run, Pass Def, and Run Def), those numbers are a reflection of your ability and need for help. So, a higher number means your a better player and need less help.

Example: Hum Pass of 12 vs. Human Pass of 15
- "12" player is worse passer, meaning his subsliders (QA, PB, WR Catch) are higher as a result of needing help in those areas
- "15" player is better passer, meaning he chose lower subsliders as he needs less "help"

Hope this helps (and I didn't mess up anywhere), I know I was confused in the beginning.

***Edit: You should really look at the "Breaking down sliders...." post. That is more detailed, but this is just a quick and dirty explanation.

Re: Why are we moving the sliders to the left?

couple things to keep in mind... while the Pass Defense Reaction Time slider effects how quickly the db's react to a WR's cut, so does every other passing game slider

Raise any offensive pass slider and the opposing DB's will react later. Lower any CPU pass defense slider and the same thing will happen... Lower your pass sliders and the db's will react quicker, raise the cpu pass defense sliders for the same effect...

its all about finding the right balance

Re: Why are we moving the sliders to the left?

also on the tackle slider, bojo is right that it doesnt technically increase the rate of your opponents broken tackles... however, it does effect it when you put it extremely low, like at 0... because you have to be closer to the ball carrier to trigger a tackle, the animation that is triggered is more likely to be a bad angle animation that results in a broken tackle (it makes it look more like physics is taken into play... rather than suction tackling where it doesnt matter where you are coming from, you're just going to suction into a solid tackle animation)

hope that makes sense, to ppl who have read my thread it should at least

My thoughts:

Broken Tackles...TRK/ELU/Moves ratings
Reaction Time...AWR/PRC
Pass Rush...PMV/FMV (I think BSH is for determining engagement on run blocking.
