Wlecome to the VFZT Sliders.
(Very fast Zero Thresh)

My goal here is to simulate the fun and intensity of a real NFL game. I firmly believe that 0 threshold and Very Fast Speed is the only way to achieve this goal.
Many Sliders will challenge your coaching ability and your button skills but i want sliders that are fast, forcing me to make quick decisions. as a console player you have the luxury of seeing the whole field unfold before you without turning your back to a blitzing linebacker unlike real life. So to even this out you need a speed and intensity that forces you to make quick decision and sometmes desicions when your not ready. This speed is not for everyone and many will hate it. I tend to love it and hope to continue to make them better for all those out there that love it also,

One rule i use is i dont take control of the kick or punt returners.
This rule may or may not apply to you. I would say if your returning the ball for TD's to much than dont do it.

Other than that there are no rules have fun and enjoy.

Notes

Ok first off any time i can lose to the chiefs that means something is right. Things i liked were 71 yards bomb to mason he got a little seperation on a deep slant a perfect ball and bang. this wasnt a broken tackle either he caught it in stride for the TD. another thing was 0-2 on field goals i have a bad kicker and i should miss both were 47 plus. I threw 4 picks 3 of which was my own mistake i had plenty of time and guys wide open and made bad decisions to try and squeeze one in and K.C. took advantage. All in all i had fun playing this game and had i played better i coulda routed them instead of a loss.

Defensive Stuggle i couldnt get the running game going and only had 40 yards passing at half time the worst was that getting to rivers was like breaking into fort knox i t cant be done. i blitzed all day and he laughed at me. Not one single sack by the way i picked up the rookie end from Cincinatti and use him on every play moving Pryce to DT if any one wonders what player i control its LE Micheal Johnson.
One very fun game.

I went into this game thinking about a rout but Shaun rodgers single handedly stop that he stuffed everything up the middle and was really pissing me off. i had them shut down most the game but 2 4rth quarter touchdowns almost handed me a loss and i had to make a last second field goal to avoid overtime

Ok i knew id win this one for some reason this year the pats Suck they are the easiest team in the game to defend and no matter how good they run they still spread 5 wide and try and pass it . I dont really even count this game as they are so predictable. again 2 4rth quarter touchdowns.

My first real blow out. Benson wasnt really all that and if you double up on Ocho not really that bad. I expected more from Benson kinda disapointed. but i did find out my kicker cant make a 50+ yarder every kick ive missed this season has been from 50+ 48 seems to be his max range.

Ok now for some number crunching. I went online to NFL.com and did some research there has been 444 games total this year so far, including the thursday game and 8978 total points that averages out to
20 Points Per game
The average score of each team of the games i have played so far is 22.6. So not bad as far as scores go

I did some more crunching to help me analyze where im at on my sliders i took the colts and Jags out the data pool this time to make it easier to crunch the numbers and i listed below some key stats for the first 13 weeks of the NFL season and compared them to the results im getting from my sliders thus far,

Penalties Per game so far the league sees each team with 6 penalties per game my sliders are only producing 1.6 for each team so im gonna definitiley look into changing the penalty sliders a bit.

Next i checked out first downs per game the range of the NFL was from 13.3 to 23.6 with most teams faling between 17 to 20 in my league my Opp is getting 12.4 and i am at 16.4 this is slightly lower but nothing im too concerned about as of right now.

Fumbles Per game 1.5 per team my league 0 this will definitley have to be addressed.

Pass Attempts per game NFL 33 My OPP 31.4 and Me 33.4 this is very good

Rush attempts per game NFL 27.4 My OPP 24.2 and me 30.8 this is also in a good range.

Rushing yards per attempt NFL 4.2 Opp 4.7 Me 3.7 these numbers are pretty good this will depend on player skill and team also but so far im pretty happy

Passing Completion % NFL 60.6% my Opp 57.3 and Me 60% this seems to be pretty dead on but again depends on player skill.

Rushing yards per game NFL 116 for NFL average my Opp 114.2 and me 114.4

Passing Yards Per game NFL 217 Opp 189.6 Me 226

Ints per game NFL .9 Opp 1.6 me .6

Punts per game NFL 4.6 opp 5 Me 3.5 pretty good and in range

Yards per punt NFL 46.5 opp 49 Me 45.3

Ok what exactly does this tell me. well for now i have to address the Penalties and Fumbles.I will do some testing later today and post my changes as soon as i can.

These sliders are much better than i had hoped for so early on. i figured id be much farther behind than what i am right now. Unfortunatly tho my numbers are very close to NFL averages and so much goes into sliders than just what I get when i play such different levels of skill between players different teams so on and so forth just because im getting decent numbers with the ravens dont mean others wont get totally dfferent numbers playing other teams. So im going to wait to tweak anything else until i get some more feedback from others to see where im at on the whole.

I will say that i had my Nephew play a game this morning using these sliders and he got absolutely pounded playing the saints as the Buccs so dont get discouraged if a better team routs you i dont want Cup cake sliders if i can take the browns and go 9-7 than the sliders are to easy in my opinion Sliders need to fun but honest otherwise there boring.
