Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

Everybody!!! Great news!!! The new version for the slider set is out!!! Sorry for the exclamation marks. Hehe. They are posted in the original post for this topic, below Version 1.0. I know the changes seem subtle on paper, but try them out. Let me know how you feel, what still needs to be improved, etc. I will still be making tweaks and what not, always striving for the best. The changes made from slider set 1.0 in the new slider set are bolded. Sorry for all the wait guys, hopefully you enjoy these. They're not perfect, and they never will be, but I will continue to try and improve them. So please help me by posting your stats, impressions, and recommendations of what needs to be improved.

Again, Version 1.1 of this slider set is now in the ORIGINAL POST of this topic. Go to the top of page 1! Enjoy guys!!

Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

Been playing wiht your sliders and I am having a few issues.

1. Too easy to run the ball but also not breaking any tackles.
I ran the same play I formation off tackle power the entire way down teh field against the Pats and scored with the vikings.
2. too much pass rush against computer. I am getting six sacks a game and I dont blitz but also hitting the QB every play and forcing a ton of bad throws and hurries.
3. Passing is a little too easy still but not bad. I am playing as the vikings so I have a good team so I think this may be more a product of that.

Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

I would definitely suggest playing a game or two with teams with a weak running game and see if you get the same results. I've been getting shut down my last two games, one with Denver the other with Seattle. Your pass rush numbers may be because of the same reason. In the game I just played, each team had 2 sacks.

Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

Hey Ryder,

ive just tried your sliders, so far i have to say im really impressed.
First ive used some other sliders and tweaked them a lil bit, but since the patch, those provide very high scoring games and nearly every drives end with a TD.

So i was looking for some other sliders and then you came along, finally someone who plays less than 10 minutes a quarter.

So ive tried your sliders, first with the Saints(me) vs. Giants.
Ive won 31 - 28, it has been a great game, ive got the expected win, because the Saints are my favorite team and i have spend the last 3 Maddens playing with them, so i know exactly the strengths and weaknesses of my players.

Then the next game, i chose the Bengals(me) vs. Texans.
It has been a great game, with a lot of early 3 and outs but i eventually won with 36 - 28.
Both quarterbacks have completed some long throws, all of them were short completions with the WR simply outrunning the defense, so im planning to play another game and if this doesnt stop, im going to raise the threshold slider to 65 or 70.

Some other thing was was not so good, were the interceptions:
Ive seen no interceptions at all, but there were more than enough possibilities for a DB to pick it off, everytime they dropped the sure pick.
So im going to increase the Interception sliders for both human and CPU, because i just want to pay for my mistakes and i want to make the cpu pay for his.
But thats not your mistake, seems like every set of sliders has so low interception sliders, i just want a lil bit realism and since the saints create a lot of turnovers, i want to have those aswell.
In the other sliders ive used, ive had the interception slider for human at 65, which provided an average of about 2 picks per game for my defense.

Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

Played a game with 49ers (me) vs Jets...

I drove down the field first drive and scored then got an immediate fumble on the kickoff to go up 14-0 quickly... So stats might be okay with getting the very quick lead. Most of there yards came off of big plays. LT scored 57 ydr in the Wildcat and some big pass plays that got behind my zone. Running seemed easy at times but i worked for my 120 with over 20 carries... Overall pretty good i would agree that INT's need to be turned up some. Not enough to everything needs to be picked but there was a couple plays on both sides that should of been picked.... I think i ended up with like 5 sacks but almost all of them were in the last drive or 2 when they were trying to throw her deep... Will try another game later after work and see what happens...

Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

I am working on making adjustments for the interceptions. I need to test them out, hopefully I can post them soon.
