Re: Had a brain wave - NEW ALL MADDEN SLIDERS TO TEST

At first was worried because Matt moore went 9/10 for 151 yards to start with.

Realised I was just playing too soft so started extra rushing, mixing pressing etc and started to stop the march.

What I have noticed is that with WR Catching and Inerceptions being equally on both sides, you are really getting good fights to get separation.

Only noticed one complete blown coverage so far, but then again thats Football.

It is very hard, but i'm guessing its what people want.

My biggest concern is rushing tbh.

Just tried another game but stopped half way when i noticed Carolina, who lets be honest might be a poor team but their run game is good, were running negative yards.

Moore was sensible going 9/18 with 128 yards so that looked ok.

Going to change rushing sliders and play with two balanced teams.

Oh ok.. You know since the latest patch came out the USER tackling has become great. You can actually afford to bump the CPUs breaktackling up a nice distance from the USER tackling without seeing the wild breaktackling the CPU use to bust before that. I currently have my tackling at 55 and the CPUs break tackling at 100. Right now I'm tested the USER tackling at 57 because even though I was able to handle 55 tackling they were kind of busting alot of long runs on my friends consistently and me sometimes.. 57 seems pretty good right now.. I had it at 60 and CPU couldn't hardly run on me and thats when I dropped it to 55. So somewhere inbetween 55-60 should be the money spot for me..

Re: Had a brain wave - NEW ALL MADDEN SLIDERS TO TEST

TEST GAME 2

Raised USER/CPU RUN BLOCK TO 25
Raised USER/CPU BLOCK SHRED TO 25
Lowered USER TACKLING TO 50
Lowered USER BROKEN TACKLES TO 30
Lowered CPU TACKLING TO 30
Lowered CPU BROKEN TACKLES TO 50

FALCONS (ME) - 14
COWBOYS (CPU) - 31

Key Stats:-

M. Ryan - 22/37 260yrds 2TD 2INT
T. Romo - 19/26 303yrds 4TD INT

M.Turner - 22 for 44yrds
F.Jones - 18 for 72yrds

D.Bryant - 6REC 112yrds 2TD - Beast
R.White - 6REC 76yrds TD

1 Sack for me

Conclusions: -
CPU run game - Very happy now.
CPU pass game - If Bryant wasn't such a god would have played as well? -
USER PASSING - Tough but fair if play well.
USER RUSHING - Not sure yet. Yes bad game, but then again they happen so more testing.

Overall - Happy how this is progressing - Updated front page.

Now testing Top defense vs rank offense to really see if 0 Reaction is a big problem cos so far nothing outragous happened and in 3 games I have 5 picks which is good.

Keep ya posted. Btw if anyone else fancies testing please post stats.

I thought that the "play now" games were friendlies and prehaps would get different results in franchise mode.

So dived in, loaded the silders into my Vikings 2nd Year franchise and just had one of the best games.

Extras -

CPU SACKS - 2

USER FF - 2 (1 recovered).

Really good game. Started off very defensive with both teams playing well. The Bears went into 17 -7 lead when Flynn threw a pick 6. I went to the ground game and eventually the bears defense just wilted and a fourth quarter barrage end in a game winning FG with 3 secs left.

The stats feel good, the game felt good and before anyone says how can Matt Flynn throw for 300+, his figures are inflated by one 76yrd screen pass to petterson.

I am very pleased with these sliders now and hope you guys can enjoy them aswell. They are tough but they seem fair

Just a thought: you should raise cpu fumbles to at least 50. the cpu will fumble way too much with it at 20.

I agree.. The CPUs fumbles should be either even or slightly more then the USER tackles or else they will be fumbling too much. Something else I tested alot..

I do agreed to an extent, but I find the CPU fumble category slightly odd.

I noticed that when i changed the blocking and tackling sliders to help the run game, it was still not that effective when CPU fumble was at 60.

At 20, yes they will fumble more thats a given, but they also seem to be more elusive.

I'm starting to think whether the fumble slider for CPU is the "risk" they take with the ball. A lower rating will make the RB more elusive, better block following, more yards per carry but more chance of fumble - ie a adrian petterson.

A higher rating, reduces the risk of fumbling by straight forward trucking lol.

Its just a theory, but its reason i lowered to 20.

Re: Had a brain wave - NEW ALL MADDEN SLIDERS TO TEST

After alot of testing with a variety of teams, I have tweaked the Sliders a bit more.

I have raised USER RUSH to 40 and Raised CPU Block to 40.

Also tweaked CPU rushing to give them a little help.

Also tried few games with CPU ACC at 50, but this less to too many intereptions as USER interceptions on 35 is too high for that level.

One thing I have noticed is that if these sliders do really exploit ratings weaknesses. You need to be thorough with your defensive plans.

The biggest example of this is the DB's. I play with a vikings franchise and at the momment all my DB's are fairly slow (avg 89) and not really that great in Man Coverage. SO aginst the lions for example, Calvin Johnson was hving a field da untill I literally double marked him on the "expected" pass plays (sometimes didn;t and got nailed lol), meaning I hopd to really 2 guys to stop him and focus on the other recievers.

It is really tough to defend, but like I said, if you make a play you feel like you have earned it yourself
