I am messing around with the tackle slider. I see a lot of big hits and am wondering if lower this might lower those hits. I have to find a happy medium though, don't want it to be 3 broken tackles without pressing a button. 40 is ok, but maybe 35 if it's not too bad, might have to lower the user and cpu broken tackles if I do this. I think I will stick to slow speed just because the animations are better and I don't see as many monster hits. The main issue I want to address is fine tuning. I have a good base, now it's time to fine tune. I am out for the night, check back tomorrow for more updates, hopefully this thread is still rocking and getting some good stat lines and games!

Hey mate, Just wanted to add my input to this to hopefully help tweak these sliders as I am enjoying them but feel that they are just a little too "offensive" for my taste. I used them all day and played probably about 14 games, with all different combination's (bad teams and good teams)

My first game I was the Rams vs the Buc's and I managed to set the single game record for rushing yards on about 25 carries. the game ended with about 700 total offensive yards for me and about 400 for the cpu. I didn't play a single game where both teams rushers didn't average at least 8ypc usually more. Also it felt like it didn't matter what team I was, my defense could not generate ANY sort of pass rush and gave up long streak TD passes about every other drive. The only reason I won is because they couldn't stop me at all either. I dont think my stick skills are that amazing, and I use ask madden to pick my plays.

I made a few tweaks to the pass rush, and speed threshold and it toned down the big plays, but I still didn't play a game where each team didn't score at least 28 points. I was playing on normal speed though so tomorrow after class I will try these sliders on slow and see if they play any better for me. I do feel these are the best sliders out so far though.

That's weird. I haven't seen any huge offensive games, but they can be a little offensive oriented at time, but for me can be very defensive as well. Post me a box score tomorrow, I can help you make the tweaks needed to get better results.

Here's my game...overall it was okay, Rams defense wasn't very good at all and Bradford was awful. Steven Jackson ran all over me, but being an Eagles fan I know our run defense isn't really that good in real life. I played 12 minute quarters but I'm probably going to lower it to 11 to cut down on scoring a bit.

Guys, I was messing around in the late hours, put on some sliders that made some sense to me, but I may have found something interesting. Don't kill me if these don't work for you, but I actually felt a huge change. Now these are going to look strange, and maybe a little out of left field, but if they work for you like me, I might have a 2nd slider set on my original post.

Things I noticed from the sliders I posted above is as follows:
1. Better spacing
2. Better animations
3. Less big gains
4. No more slant routes for 15 yards, now it's 6-9 yard gains, if you complete it
5. Don't be scared, the computer still screws up in coverages, you just need to find them
6. Much more defense oriented game
7. You really have to work for sacks
8. A crisper, tighter, but still an open style of football

I still use 12 minute quarters, but run the clock down to 20 now, only penalties altered were off/def int. and roughing the kicker, all 3 to 100. Thoughts? Impressions? Box scores? GO!

Back up and at it, and I am pumped to try these out again. Expect a full box score from me with the sliders I posted above. I am looking to see if they work as well again. Check for updates or after you try them out

Im gettin madden 12 at midnite tonite, but i think im gonna use these sliders for a few games in madden 11 and see how they are. I will post results of my game when i finish..most likely I will be using the lions to test them out.
