Re: KBLover's M12 Sliders - Very Fast

Ok i will make those changes for the next game I play. Something needs to be done about penalties I think now. I just played a pre-season game where the Redskins(me) and the Steelers combined to get 31 penalties with me getting 18 of them. I'm thinking we should drop holding 10 maybe and/or raise false start a little. Maybe drop roughing the passer 1 or 2 as well.

Re: KBLover's M12 Sliders - Very Fast

Just finished a game. Pretty much perfectly played from the Ravens perspective. Flacco didn't have to throw much, defense created turnovers, scored a TD, and pretty much shut the passing game down (though Johnson was annoying as he should be).

Penalties were normal looking and there were some holding and facemask and I think a false start.

I do think we should see more false starts (pretty common penalty) and I wouldn't mind lowering holding some more.

I see I need to lower punt power also. Granted, there was a stiff 16 MPH wind the whole game, but still...

Right now, I'm testing a drop to 60 for holding and an increase to 65 for False start.

I'm also playing around with some stuff I found in Playmaker's thread. One thing he mentioned is keeping WR Catch and Pass Block at 50, and Pass Reaction to 0. I will have to see what that does in some games, but I tried Pass Reaction at 0 late last night (in a 13-7 loss, damn this offense is a joke and it's largely the QBs as they all are young and suck right now, they are 1-2 now) and it didn't seem to bother much.

Re: KBLover's M12 Sliders - Very Fast

I'm playing out a game now - and it's interesting.

Locker actually isn't playing pathetic (but Alex Smith is for some reason - maybe my defense?) and there's actually hitting WR in stride on short/medium routes for chances for some YAC.

It might be a little too easy - but we'll see. This could be DPP at work in my favor...for now.

One thing for sure, it's opening room for A.P., which is realistic. I've also been sacked as well - so it's mostly awful Alex Smith on their side.

I also traded for some damn WR. Paid blood to get A.J. Green but, hey, at least SOMEONE might have some hands.

Right now, the only changes are:

QB Acc 40
Pass Block 50
WR Catch 65

Pass Reaction 0

For both sides, though I'm going to push up the QB Acc for CPU to 50 and see if that helps the AI work the passing game more.

Might need to lower Human Acc a touch - perhaps back to 30-35. Again, we'll see - it's just been one half of one game so far.

The catching change was inspired by too many BS drops, both for and against me. I mean Wes Welker of all people was dropping balls. He and his 99 CTH and 99 CIT. Also got sick of "oh your fingernail grazed my shoulder so I have to drop the ball now" nonsense. I know receivers drop balls, but that's too much.

Edit: Going to have to tweak fatigue/HB Subs - didn't see Peterson again after about halfway in the 4th quarter.

Re: KBLover's M12 Sliders - Very Fast

Pretty much an across the board change in the sliders.

-I saw some offsides, including one where it wasn't an automatic offsides call (i.e. the defender didn't contact an offensive player), but I got a free play by snapping it before he got out of the neutral zone.

-I actually saw another PI penalty. The defender went through the WR to get the pick, but got flagged. Didn't see another one, though

-More false starts now, so hopefully the diversity in penalties is increased. I need to find a way to get roughing the passer in, but not at ridiculous levels.

The run game can still be established thanks to the 0 run reaction, but the lower run blocking will make scheming to stop it a possibility as well as dominant defenders and LBs get to shine. Some physical corners might as well and forcing guys back to the pursuit is somewhat of an option now.

I just finished a defensive battle where I was losing 7-0 half way through the 4th quarter. Put together a drive, thanks largely to a hot AP (that's nastiness right there) and I tried to "save him up" by throwing a little more than I probably should have with Jake Locker. It paid off in the 4th quarter, though. Also ran a bit with Best to use his fresher legs to finish the game.

Locker was bad (again) but no INTs which I guess is most important. He did have a 1 yd TD to A.J. Green. AP got the other on a 1 yd rushing TD when I went for it on 4th and goal in the 4th quarter. That was the tying score.

Neither QB did much of anything overall, though. Fitzpatrick was lost without his running game (Foster ripped some runs early, but then I focused on shutting him down the rest of the game, living in the 46 defense). Suh had a killer game - 3 sacks.

Biggest change above all was the lack of sack on the CPU. It seems at least with higher QB Acc, the QB is more apt to throw and make quicker decisions. One sack was a coverage sack, and the other was a great individual effort by Ngata to break into the pocket, force Sanchez up, and the other DE, Redding, was there to finish the play.

PS: Interesting - Madden charges their offensive line with two sacks, but credited my defense with just one (Kindle). The sack Ngata and Redding were involved in is not listed.
