Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

Hey Playmaker. I just put your sliders in and finished a game. They felt really realistic. It was Bills (Hum) vs. Cheifs, and the final score was 10-3 Cheifs. The only touchdown came on a long run by Charles. They wind was at 18 mph so the passing game was almost non-existent, so both qbs finished with around 120 yards on 20 or so passes.

I have 2 things that I think need some changing, and since I'm new to dealing with sliders I don't know which ones to change to fix them.

1) Jamaal Charles ran for 140+ yards on just 17 carries, and although that is somewhat realistic of him to do so, I was loading the box with 7 and 8 guys, so I feel as though it was too easy for the CPU to run, or maybe the Bills' Defense is just that bad. I don't know.

2) I sacked Matt Cassell 7 times. It was a little ridiculous. This was my biggest problem with the sliders. The Bills aren't going to sack anyone 7 times. I have no idea what to change to fix that, but you probably do.

That's just my input. It's be great to get some Feedback.

5 clicks is really a huge jump for certain sliders....

Like the Block Shed Slider for example i'm testing it out at 17 up from 15 for the Human side and all hell breaks out....

The same thing with the Tackle slider 1-2 clicks can kill the CPU if you don't tweak their Broken Tackle slider in return

The reaction slider are different they can be moved up or down 5 clicks without a major change overall to the sliders

As for the QBA slider 20 IMO would be the cutoff point for the Human player....that is the highest i would reccomend but i'm currently trying to do what you are doing find a happy setting between 15-20

I've been bouncing around with different QB's to get a feel on how most of them play at 15 and 20.....at 15 there are some QB's who really do get wild at times and if you don't complete some passes early in the game it seems like those QB's really take a hit to their accuarcy until you settle the situation down

I believe that is the DPP kicking in which is really cool to see this year

yeah a few pages back i posted the pass rusher slider is actually set higher than what the actual avg dictated which was 40 for both Human and CPU

I'm just waiting to see more stats before making a final decison as to whether i'll drop it to the exact avg or not.....The best thing is at 45 atleast we all know if you want to generate pressure that setting would be very ideal

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

Hey PM, followed your sliders the last couple of years and glad to see you back at it again.

One issue I'm having right off the bat is the CPU breaking tackles left and right on me. I was Bears v. 49ers and Gore would break 2-3 tackles per run. He had 150 yards in one half (one long run of 80+ yards) but it wasn't just him. Aaron Brooks intercepted a pass and broke 3 tackles on his trip to the end zone.

I'm not hit stick crazy either. In fact I tend to use strafe to square up before making a tackle.

Any thoughts?

My sacks are pretty ridiculous too. I had a 10 sack game vs. the Titans, and most games probably have 4+.

Sometimes it's hard for me to tell how much to change this by, as some of the AI QBs are just completely stupid and scramble straight into defenders.

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

Game was pretty good. I was Kansas City and played no-switch on D, and I was D. Johnson (LB). I couldn't run the ball at all. J. Charles busted off a 89 yard run in the last two minutes to put us on top, then our D held. This is my first time to post stats like this, so I hope it's right. This was an exhibition game...so the accelerated clock was in play with a 20 sec. So play count may be off some. All in all, it was a fun game. I'm liking the no switching on D.

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

Boy, just tested thesr sliders out, and i beat the vikings 44-7. Mcnabb got hurt early and i held ponder to 28 yds passing. Peterson had one 80-yd run, but beyond that, i think they had like 3 firat downs.

I see you've made spme updates in thr last hour that i'll try out but so far these are too easy for me

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

Both teams had alot of players with cold streaks at the start of the game, which made the game feel like a defensive battle till late in the game. Overall I had fun trying to tie the game up in the 4th quarter but fell short when I failed on a onside kick and also trying to stop the Cowboys with 3 timeouts left.
