*Charter04's 0 Based Simulation Fast speed sliders Project

This is version 2 (Post Patch) *For franchise mode

I had a theory. I wanted to see what would happen if I started everything skill slider on 0 and raise what needed to be raised with testing. I assumed that the players would play more realistically. I think I am right! I thought the game played much better and it was easier to make adjustments to the skill of the CPU or player. Maybe someone has already done this but, here is my attempt. This is a work in progress.

I don't have any house rules. * I use the no switch rule. It's helps things be more realistic. I play Sim style and that is what these are for.
Please leave box scores and feedback.

Re: Charter04's Simulation Fast speed sliders

Played a game with these and it played really well. It was a defensive struggle but I have had games that were an offensive games too.
Cowboys (Me) vrs. Vikings (CPU)
17 to 16
Total offense: 272-247
Rushing : 73-145
Passing: 199-102
First downs: 14-15
Turnovers: 1-1
Penalties: 1-4
Plays: 59-54=113 (a little lower than I would like)
Romo : 89.3 Rating 20-29 68% 227 yards 1TD 1 INT 7.8 AVG 40 Long
McNabb 54.4 Rating 16-29 55% 144 yards 0 TD 1 INT 4.9 AVG 32 Long
F.Jones(Got Inj in the First Half) 7 ATT 33 Yards 4.7 avg 1 TD
T.Choice 20att 46 yards 2.3 avg 0 td
A. Peterson 13 att 60 yds 4.6 avg 1 td
T. Gerhart 6 att 36 yds 6.0avg 0 td
McNabb 3 att 35 yds
D. Bryant 7 rec 120 yds 17.1 avg 0 td
Really had a fun game. I used gameflow the whole game. I wish the Vikings would have ran Peterson more. They threw the ball a lot at the beginning of the game.
The problem that I still don’t have a solution for is the CPU QB’s problem getting screen passing off in time. I only had 2 sacks other than on screens. Sometimes they do great and sometimes just terrible.

Re: Charter04's Simulation Fast speed sliders

Sorry I played a game using these then went to a bar to watch the game, and my brother turned off the xbox. I was going to post a box score. Anyways I was the Packers playing the Saints. I won 65-28. I had a lot of sacks on Brees. I think the high scoring had to do with the time of the game. It seemed to take a long time using 11 min and 25 sec runoff. I will play more games tomorrow and provide boxscores.

Do you happen to know how many plays you, the CPU, and the total number? It should be 120 to 130 combined.

I was thinking there were to many user sacks too. Try to use a bad team against a good team. Or other combos like that. I just got beat 41 to 17. I was Dallas and played Atlanta. Maybe I just suck.

Re: Charter04's Simulation Fast speed sliders

Played another game with these and really liked the results. I was Dallas and played against Atlanta. I lost 41 to 17. This was because I played terrible. I was terrrible against the run. Turner had 32 att for 225 yards. He had a run of 80+ and got caught by T. Newman. I had to play 8 in the box to stop the run and Matt Ryan had a field day. This is what I want though. I want the CPU to be hard to beat. My offense just made to many mistakes.

The only problem I had was the user sacks. I raised the CPU pass blocking. The CPU really struggles to get screen passes off before the sack. I took a lot of sacks but I held on to the ball to long. With my slidders I have had about 3 seconds to get a pass off. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.

If you take the correct drop with you QB for the route you want to hit you can get the ball off in time. 3 step for short routes. 5 for medium and 7 for long. This works like it should.

PA passes work when you set it up with the run. Sometimes even when you haven't. I got sacked on my first play of the game. Gameflow called a PA pass. Would have worked but the CPU blitzed a CB.

Good game. Every interception I threw was my fault. I only had 3 sacks on Rivers this game. I used 12 min/15 sec runoff. I just prefer that. The amount of plays seemed good. I don't have time to do player stats but they looked really good for everyone. I was Oakland btw.

Great! That looks pretty good. I know losing is something no one likes but, I like it when trying to get realistic results. Were there any problem area's that you could see?
