SECElite’s Madden 12 Slider Set; Built for Realism and Challenge

These sliders have no skill level and are completely custom/ hybrid

Hi guys,

Yes, I know it is late in the year to be releasing a slider set. I know most of you have already been through the annual slider gauntlet. Most of you have probably settled on a slider set, getting excellent game play, and having the time of your life with Madden 12. If so, that is great and you should continue as you are and completely ignore this thread.

However, for those new to the games, who desire a challenge, as well as those who appreciate a realistic simulation style experience, you may want hang around a bit. It might even be worth your while to give these settings a try.

I am new to the game. I haven’t purchased a madden game since 2007. There are two reasons: One, I am a college football fanatic and actually haven’t expressed true interest in the NFL for about 15 years. Two, Madden games up to this point have been crap. However, I love football. For me it is the only sport. It is only reason I have cable. Seriously, if it weren’t for football and ESPN, my TV would be used for nothing more than gaming and home décor.

With that being said, Madden was especially intriguing this year. I fought buying it! I literally did not want to get this game. The demo has been on and off of my XBOX several times over the last several months. I fought and fought and fought against the urge to buy it… but for 39.99? I lost my battle!

Enough small talk!

The objective of this slider set is to provide a challenging base which offers a realistic, simulation style experience of the NFL game.

Every single player has his or her own play style. Some are more skilled than others, have more knowledge of the game, are more familiar with the team’s strengths and weaknesses, are better at passing or running, more skilled offensively, or defensively, OR sadly have even researched ways to exploit the AI of the game.

Everyone is different. Some may like this set; others may not. However, this a base set. Hopefully, some of things which I have found will help the player as well as the many great slider makers out there to develop new perspectives and ideas which will lead to development of greater future slider sets. One can hope anyway.

There they are guys; I am open to all comments and criticism. Perspective of the game and how you think it should play is really the primary factor in determining the best set for you. I appreciate the work of all the slider makers and the help of the community in reaching the ultimate goal for all us:

A fun and enjoyable football game!

Re: SECElite’s Madden 12 PRO Difficulty Slider Set; Built for Realism and Challenge

What's going on SEC? Welcome to the Madden slider forum. First off to just to let you know your set is an All-Madden set. I told you to read my thread about how you set up the sliders. You probably started tweaking your set from Pro and thought that was the AI you was getting but the sliders on Madden work different from NCAA. Once you start messing with the player skill it changes to CUSTOM. The USER total determines the AI of the game.. If you keep all 4 of the USER categories combined at 295 or less the AI is on All Madden. Your total is well under that. If you go over that the AI switches to All Pro. You can tell by the kicking meter what level you are playing on. On All-Madden the kicking meter goes super fast. On All Pro it slow down and on Pro its moving like an old lady. On my thread I have a full breakdown on it and Kingrealistic has a thread a few thread down breaking everything down. So you created an All-Madden set without even knowing man.. Haha! You can ask any of the slider makers.

Re: SECElite’s Madden 12 PRO Difficulty Slider Set; Built for Realism and Challenge

What you are saying makes sense, but the set is what it is, and these are the settings I prefer. All Madden, All-Pro, Pro, whatever, but these are the settings I am currently using. However, if what you are saying is true, I might want to change my title. thanks for the heads up!

Odd, thing is... the kicking meter doesn't move as fast as it does under the All-Madden setting.. I don't know. Like I said the set is what it is.

No problem man. You definitely want to get the headline changed because it is an All-Madden set. You don't want to scare people off with that Pro headline. Haha! But just read around there's a bunch of information on how the sliders work on Madden. I wish they would just make it simple like NCAA though.

One question Jarodd... what is the deal with the pass rush in this game? No matter what the settings, neither I nor the CPU can generate one.

Yeah its hard to generate a realistic 4 man rush on All-Madden or All-Maden sliders. You definitely have to mix in some man blitzes to generate good pressure. The pass reaction slider also affects your dlineman reacting to the play. With that area on 0 they react very slow to the play which affects them getting after the QB like the should especially on play fakes. Also the blockshedding slider ties into the passrush too so you might want to mess around with that a little bit.

Tried your sliders. They're fun. I've only played one game with them so I can't form a really thorough opinion of them yet but below is the box score from my Franchise game using these sliders...

My first impressions were:

A. Very difficult to run. Even with elite backs. Good challenge.
B. CPU QB is crazy inaccurate, but that could have just been because the CPU was Kyle Orton.
C. Lots of turnovers. There were 3 defensive TDs in the game (2 from fumbles and 1 was a pick-6)

I'm gonna try a few more games with these because I like the feel of the play. The score was kind of out of hand though. Hopefully that isnt the norm.
