Yeah that was a real live defensive struggle. Good thing you came away with the win. You can't afford to fall behind in the division. Who do you play next?
Just started an offline career with the Colts, game 2 against the Vikings, AP ran 45-376-4. They had over 400 rushing. Didn't matter what I did, could not get separation or tackle him. The final was 52-42 for the Vikings, but there were 4 return touchdowns (3 fumble and 1 kick off). Funny thing is in week 1 I lost to the Bears 24-17, and held Forte under 100.
By the way, I am playing the blue set.

Jarodd, love the slider sets. Just got 13 for xmas (but long time all madden franchise player) and am loving them. Moved from green to black, finding my place somewhere in the middle, however all games on all sliders are usually within 2 scores, great work.
My one concern is fumbles. I'm in week 6 of the second year, playing all games + preseason, and I've yet to see a CPU fumble other than a couple of muff punts and 1 QB sack fumble. This was an issue I had last year though with very ramped up all-pro slider set, but was solved greatly by using strip ball. Strip ball seems to be toned down quite a bit this year as well though, so I'm stuck trying to figure if I should raise CPU fumbles or not.
Yeah I wasn't getting any wild results like that. Most of the time the guys would return back to the game but there has been times when I had a few guys out but it wasn't anything that wasn't realistic..
For some reason it just kept happening, but now that I lowered it a little bit I am seeing the normal minor injuries and maybe one severe one a game if that really.
Played the game vs the Pats. Decided to change up the format a bit, by writing a recap as the game happened(forgive the length), since I mentioned all the scoring plays, i didn't include those in the box score

On the Pats first drive Brady drives them down easily and finds Gaffney for the TD. On our first drive, we are moving after a 33 yard pass to Nicks, but David Wilson fumbles, setting the Pats up at the 46 and Brady finds Gaffney going deep for a 54 yard TD. We get the ball and start moving it. Eli found Delanie Walker, who has been a godsent at TE for a 55 yard TE. Pats get a FG at the end of the first quarter to make it 17-3. On our first drive of the 2nd quarter, Wilson fumbles again, Pats recover, but the defense is able to hold them to a FG to make it 20-7. We got the ball back and went 3 and out. A 21 yard rush by Felix Jones and a 39 yard pass to Gronk set up the Pats for a first and goal from the 9, but we hold them to a FG thanks to rookie WR baker not being able to get his feet down in the endzone. On a 3rd and 9, Eli hit Nicks for a 46 yard gain on a slant, setting up a Bradshaw 9 yard TD to make it 23-14. Our defense responses by forcing a 3 and out. Giving us the ball at the 44, with 1:52 left, and all our TOS. Eli got sacked on first down, which appeared to put a damper on the drive, but on 3rd and 12, Eli found Cruz for a 58 yard TD. Pats run out the clock and hold a 23-21 lead at halftime with the Giants to get the ball to start the 2nd half. Despite Wilson's horrible first half the Giants stunk with him and it paid off. He got a 10 yard rush for a first, and then broke a 60 yard run all the way down to the 8. We had to settle for a FG, but now lead 24-23. Pats got the ball back and away they went, they get a first down to Gronk, and then a Felix Jones 44 yard run sets them up in the redzone, but we hold them to a FG to make it 26-24. We go 3 and out. A big play to Gronk sets them up in FG range, but we push them back 4 yards on a run, and this time they miss the FG, but we can't capitalize on the field position and are forced to punt. We come back and force the punt, and after Bradshaw uses 2 rushes to get a first, the 4th quarter begns with us at the our own 36, down 26 to 24. First play of the 4th quarter, Eli looked deep for Cruz, but Martin picked it off and the Pats get the ball at the 46. Pats drive down easily and punch it with a 4 yard run by Felix Jones to make it 33-24. I get the ball back and start to move, I complete a pass to Nicks at midfield, but he fumbles, Pats recovers and that likely seals the game. Pats drive down and score on a 1 yard run by hall(the FB), but miss the 2PC, making the score 39-24. We drive down and get a 1 yard run by Wilson to make it 39-31. We kick off with all 3 TO's and 1:58 left, hoping for a 3 and out. The first play of their drive Jones gets a 16 yard rush. I use my 2 TO's to stop the clock on 1st and 2nd down. On 3rd and 5 they throw, Brady tries to throw it to Lloyd, he catches, but Prince shoves him out of bounce before he can get both feet down, yet they call it a catch and don't review it(under 2 minutes left) and that ends it. I could have gotten the ball back with 1:37 left, but I didn't and take a tough loss. Got to sure up my defense, and the turnovers if I want to make a playoff run.... I have clinched the divison since Im 9-4 and the 2nd place team is 5-8. I play the 9-4 49ers next week. , doubt I get a bye because there are 6 teams in the NFC 9-4 or better. FYI, one statistical thing I just noticed is that I only have 3 INTS all season, odd.
Which set are you using? You definitely have to make plays with the player you are controlling on defense. You have to make the right line shifts with your Dline and LBs. Call some man blitzes if you think they are running so you can get alot of guys flying to the ball. You have to be creative and you can't play conservative against the run..
i'm using the green set. i've started playing mostly man as that seems to work best against the pass and run. i think i just need to get better.
Quick question to everyone who has played with the full Red Set.
My brothers and I cannot handle the black set. They cannot handle the blue set (I hardly win with it). So we landed on the red set.
Would my d-backs get more ints on this set compared to the other sets? The human sliders dont change so im kind of confused when i got 4 ints in my first attempt at the red set (compared to 0 in multiple black and blue games with tons of dropped ints).
I won the game by a huge margin; 77-24. But I had 3 int returns for tds and one punt return td. Also had 2 offensive plays of over 80 yards.
Do you think it was just a fluke in this first game, or is this gonna be common?
Jarodd, love the slider sets. Just got 13 for xmas (but long time all madden franchise player) and am loving them. Moved from green to black, finding my place somewhere in the middle, however all games on all sliders are usually within 2 scores, great work.
My one concern is fumbles. I'm in week 6 of the second year, playing all games + preseason, and I've yet to see a CPU fumble other than a couple of muff punts and 1 QB sack fumble. Strip ball seems to be toned down quite a bit this year as well though, so I'm stuck trying to figure if I should raise CPU fumbles or not.
Thoughts?
I was playing on 35/35 for fumbles, user/cpu, felt I wasn't seeing enough fumbles, so I dropped it to 30/30.
When I did that, Trent Richardson (with 99 carrying and brace vs. all hits) fumbled 5 times in 6 games and the CPU was fumbling the ball quite a bit as well, too unrealistic for my taste.
I recently changed both sliders to KBLover's setting with his experimental set which is 32/32. Currently I see about one fumble per game whether it be from my team or from the CPU, which I think is pretty even, balanced, and realistic.
I don't mind having fumbles at 35/35, but I like it better at 32/32.
