Just started an offline career with the Colts, game 2 against the Vikings, AP ran 45-376-4. They had over 400 rushing. Didn't matter what I did, could not get separation or tackle him. The final was 52-42 for the Vikings, but there were 4 return touchdowns (3 fumble and 1 kick off). Funny thing is in week 1 I lost to the Bears 24-17, and held Forte under 100.
By the way, I am playing the blue set.
Well maybe it was just one of those crazy games. AP can go wild on you if you don't keep him contained. If you continue to get ran on like that you are going to have to lower the CPUs rushinng to the red set..
Jarodd, love the slider sets. Just got 13 for xmas (but long time all madden franchise player) and am loving them. Moved from green to black, finding my place somewhere in the middle, however all games on all sliders are usually within 2 scores, great work.
My one concern is fumbles. I'm in week 6 of the second year, playing all games + preseason, and I've yet to see a CPU fumble other than a couple of muff punts and 1 QB sack fumble. This was an issue I had last year though with very ramped up all-pro slider set, but was solved greatly by using strip ball. Strip ball seems to be toned down quite a bit this year as well though, so I'm stuck trying to figure if I should raise CPU fumbles or not.
Thoughts?
What's going on man? I'm suprised you aren't seeing any fumbles. I have a decent amount of forced fumbles. I'm not leading the league but I'm not last either.. You have to lower the fumble slider to cause more fumbles. Raising the slider makes it tougher. I guess you can lower it to 30 and see how it works for you..
Played the game vs the Pats. Decided to change up the format a bit, by writing a recap as the game happened(forgive the length), since I mentioned all the scoring plays, i didn't include those in the box score

On the Pats first drive Brady drives them down easily and finds Gaffney for the TD. On our first drive, we are moving after a 33 yard pass to Nicks, but David Wilson fumbles, setting the Pats up at the 46 and Brady finds Gaffney going deep for a 54 yard TD. We get the ball and start moving it. Eli found Delanie Walker, who has been a godsent at TE for a 55 yard TE. Pats get a FG at the end of the first quarter to make it 17-3. On our first drive of the 2nd quarter, Wilson fumbles again, Pats recover, but the defense is able to hold them to a FG to make it 20-7. We got the ball back and went 3 and out. A 21 yard rush by Felix Jones and a 39 yard pass to Gronk set up the Pats for a first and goal from the 9, but we hold them to a FG thanks to rookie WR baker not being able to get his feet down in the endzone. On a 3rd and 9, Eli hit Nicks for a 46 yard gain on a slant, setting up a Bradshaw 9 yard TD to make it 23-14. Our defense responses by forcing a 3 and out. Giving us the ball at the 44, with 1:52 left, and all our TOS. Eli got sacked on first down, which appeared to put a damper on the drive, but on 3rd and 12, Eli found Cruz for a 58 yard TD. Pats run out the clock and hold a 23-21 lead at halftime with the Giants to get the ball to start the 2nd half. Despite Wilson's horrible first half the Giants stunk with him and it paid off. He got a 10 yard rush for a first, and then broke a 60 yard run all the way down to the 8. We had to settle for a FG, but now lead 24-23. Pats got the ball back and away they went, they get a first down to Gronk, and then a Felix Jones 44 yard run sets them up in the redzone, but we hold them to a FG to make it 26-24. We go 3 and out. A big play to Gronk sets them up in FG range, but we push them back 4 yards on a run, and this time they miss the FG, but we can't capitalize on the field position and are forced to punt. We come back and force the punt, and after Bradshaw uses 2 rushes to get a first, the 4th quarter begns with us at the our own 36, down 26 to 24. First play of the 4th quarter, Eli looked deep for Cruz, but Martin picked it off and the Pats get the ball at the 46. Pats drive down easily and punch it with a 4 yard run by Felix Jones to make it 33-24. I get the ball back and start to move, I complete a pass to Nicks at midfield, but he fumbles, Pats recovers and that likely seals the game. Pats drive down and score on a 1 yard run by hall(the FB), but miss the 2PC, making the score 39-24. We drive down and get a 1 yard run by Wilson to make it 39-31. We kick off with all 3 TO's and 1:58 left, hoping for a 3 and out. The first play of their drive Jones gets a 16 yard rush. I use my 2 TO's to stop the clock on 1st and 2nd down. On 3rd and 5 they throw, Brady tries to throw it to Lloyd, he catches, but Prince shoves him out of bounce before he can get both feet down, yet they call it a catch and don't review it(under 2 minutes left) and that ends it. I could have gotten the ball back with 1:37 left, but I didn't and take a tough loss. Got to sure up my defense, and the turnovers if I want to make a playoff run.... I have clinched the divison since Im 9-4 and the 2nd place team is 5-8. I play the 9-4 49ers next week. , doubt I get a bye because there are 6 teams in the NFC 9-4 or better. FYI, one statistical thing I just noticed is that I only have 3 INTS all season, odd.
Nice recap man.. T.Brady was on point. You was shredding them pretty good with Mannning too.. Tough loss though..
i'm using the green set. i've started playing mostly man as that seems to work best against the pass and run. i think i just need to get better.
Yeah once you get better with the player you are controlling you'll start doing good against the run. Man and man blitzes are definitely better plays to use against the run then zone would be.
Quick question to everyone who has played with the full Red Set.
My brothers and I cannot handle the black set. They cannot handle the blue set (I hardly win with it). So we landed on the red set.
Would my d-backs get more ints on this set compared to the other sets? The human sliders dont change so im kind of confused when i got 4 ints in my first attempt at the red set (compared to 0 in multiple black and blue games with tons of dropped ints).
I won the game by a huge margin; 77-24. But I had 3 int returns for tds and one punt return td. Also had 2 offensive plays of over 80 yards.
Do you think it was just a fluke in this first game, or is this gonna be common?
Yeah that was probably a first game fluke. Sliders take about a game or two to really settle in.. The CPU usually plays like crap in that first game especially if you are constantly tweaking the sliders every game. So get about a 3 or 4 game sample size without tweaking anything so you can see how they play out. You'll probably have more chances at INTs on the red set because of the CPUs accuracy and catching being lower but you shouldn't be getting a crazy amount per game just from being on the red set.. Keep me updated with the games man..
Do many of you play with user pass reaction on 55 and int's on 20 or are most of you using the 60-15 setting? I recently changed to 55-20 and now I'm finally seeing a few picks here and there on the user side. I don't know about the rest of you but I was having a really hard time stopping the CPU's passing game as I wasnt getting int's on tipped balls that "should" have been picked.
I realize not all of them should be picked but at least now i get a few. If the CPU's passing starts to get too easy i'll just bump up CPU pass acc and WR catch if needed to boost it.
Decided to start a NEW franchise with the Denver Broncos using the Blue set (decided to go with it this go round lol)
so far I'm 2-1
Games have come with great variety
Week 1 (W)
Steelers @ Broncos score 29-30 (Last Second Field Goal)
Week 2 (L)
Broncos @ Falcons score 41-3 (The score should tell you how this game went)
Week 3 (W)
Texans @ Broncos score 44-14 (Shut Foster down the whole game he couldn't do anything)
Stats are good to
Bout to play Week 4 against the Raiders who are 1-2
Ronnie Hillman is my X-FACTOR , he might not play running back because of McGahee and Moreno but when it come to returning kicks he becoming very valuable
