Re: Jarodd21s Madden 13 All-Madden sliders

Hey Jarodd, i have 2 questions. First is what should i do if i'm seeing too many fumbles, turn the slider towards 50, or towards 0? Over the last 6 games in my ccm, each team has averaged about 3 to 4 fumbles a game.

The other one is in regard to field goal power. I did some testing in practice with janikowski and found that with the power slider at 41, I can make a 63 yarder with janikowski only 4 out of 10 times. Which is ideal with him being the most powerful kicker in the game, and with 63 being the NFL record. I'm currently using this setting in game, and it works well. With the power at 50, i can make 60 + yard field goals with anybody.

This was just my research, also im enjoying the gameplay with the recent updates, thanks!

Re: Jarodd21s Madden 13 All-Madden sliders

I've come to respect your sliders Jarodd.

BTW i would like to express a long lived myth that receivers in this game aren't aggressive enough. The problem is that while they may not jump for deep lobs a lot, the routes for most passing plays are specifically designed.

For example on a play that has CJ going on a streak, people see this as throw him a lob and pray he gets it, when in reality these routes are meant to get positioning on the safety or Cornerback.

What i have found is that these plays aren't just a normal streak route where your receiver tries to outrun the defense, but they are specially designed to try to get the WR outside positioning on the defender and not for lobs.

For example a normal streak route you would audible to is a straight line up the field. This is meant for burners to simply run upfield as fast as they can to see if they can beat the defender over the top.

On a play like X Follow however your B receiver is sent on a route that resembles a streak, But his goal is to first try to get outside positioning on him and his 2nd goal is to try to burn him.

If you notice the route looks like a dented streak route and not your typical straight line going up the field. This is meant for users to try to get an advantage over the defender so you can lead pass your WR to the outside (Towards the sidelines) if he gains the leverage and maybe if your lucky you can get a step on him and go over the top.

As for streaks, if you look at the play Hail Mary you see everyone is sent on a straight line streak to try to get behind the defense and for you to give them a lob and say your prayers.

If you understand the routes are designed for leverage reasons over the defender, Jarrods sliders on black become more fun and very entertaining because leading your receivers like a QB does in real life is needed instead of just throwing a bullet or lob pass for any route.

With your sliders certain routes that require you to lead your receiver, wont work with simply throwing the ball to him. You must lead the right way and if not then its a pick or incompletion.

As of now i put the play clock on 18 so i can read the defense and breakdown my mismatches and see how my routes develop.

Nice job Jarrod, i have mixed your sliders with Wordtobigbird's philosophies and i am enjoying the hell out of my CCM finally. Makes me feel like a true coach coming up with schemes to score and stop the CPU.

I franchised Justin Tuck and ended up keeping him. I traded Bradshaw to the Patriots for a 3rd next year and signed Toby Gerhart to backup Wilson as more of a power back. Jerome Shuman is my new FB. The bust of my offseason was having a 63 rookie LG(nice blocking ratings though) and a 67 overall fa center as starters. I lost Webster and Spikes(despite a hard push to resign) in FA. In the first round I drafted Jazz Robinson a 80 MLB with star development and he was to replace Spikes, but he got injured in the preseason and will miss the first 5 weeks. My second round pick was Rashawn Norwood, a 85 overall CB with fast development to replace Webster. The rest of my signings and picks were depth guys(all of the draft picks have normal development. One guy impressed me out of the rest of the picks, Nick Cobbs, he is a 6 foot 3 WR with 94 speed with normal development who showed flashes in the preseason, easily won the battle to be the 4th WR and has a chance to put pressure on Randle to be the 3 as the season advances.
Damn you had a good draft man. Those players look ready..

Offense sucked, defense kept us around a while until it imploded in the 4th quarter. Williams and cobbs are both out 4 weeks.

Rough way to start the season.. Your run game wasn't good at all. Hopefully you get that going next week so you can't depend on the pass all game..

I have no trouble running to the outside even with power backs.. A.Brown had a good season for in my first CCM when I lost Bradshaw for alot of games and he had to split carriers with D.Wilson. The running game is so easy I definitely don't want to tweak anything that's going to make it easier..

It seemed easier in these games than in my CCM. I didn't throw an interception in either game and my defense seemed a little better. I'm not sure if that was because of me or not. The new rosters have Seattle rated 87 and in my CCM I'm 81. Did I just play better or is the Play Now rosters what did it for me?

I'm also curious, I read a lot of people saying having a strong running game will open up the field and allow you to pull off some good PA passes. Is that only true for human vs. human or does the CPU react to the plays you're calling? Because it seems like I can just do the same running play over and over and I'll average 6 YPC. In this OT I didn't pass once. I ran down the field using Power O and HB Dive.

Some people say the Play now plays a little different then CCM but they were saying that play now was tougher. I wouldn't know because I haven't played a Play now game since the 3rd patch but they were suppose to tune CCM to play exactly like play now.

Well if you are using Power O or stretches out of 2WR twin sets you'll continue to gain yards like that. The CPU can stop those twin sets to the outside because the CB always follows the WR to the other side of the field. I don't even use those formations for outside running because it's broken.. But it's definitely easier running on the green set if you are good at running the ball. You might wannat crank the CPUs rush defense to the red set if you feel like you are running too easy..

Come on man? All 7 picks weren't your fault? The only way you'll get better at passing the ball is if you take responsibility for the poor decisions you are making when throwing the ball. I guarantee if you look at the replay off all your passes you'll see other areas of the field you could have passed the ball too but you stayed locked in on your first read and forced the pass instead of checking it down to your 2nd or 3rd option.. You definitely need to practice on your decision making if you are throwing INTs like that. Which set are you playing with anyway?

You turn the fumble slider up if you want to decrease fumbles. You are going to have to lower the USER breaktackles to compensate raising the fumbles because you have to keep the total of that category at 75..

Nice discovery with the kicking. I haven't thoroughly tested it like that to see. My kicker Tynes doesn't come close to hitting a 60 yarder. I can barely make 50 yarders with him.. Haha! I haven't seen the CPU hit any 60 yarders either..
