Hopefully EA will fix the sliders to work exactly like play now.

Ok I'll try out the fumbles. Thanks again for the help. Like I said. Been having a blast with these.

Now everybody knows the 120-140 plays per game thing, but that includes kickoffs, punts, penalties, field goals, not sure about XP's. Anyway after checking thru about 30 box scores from this year and last, I came up with the very unscientific number of roughly 105-115 OP per game. Almost every box score posted here is way north of that, closer to the 130-140 mark. What this says obviously is that games need to be shortened. I took this info into Madden and played a few games with different times, and the best by far was 11 minute quarters with a 20 second accelerated clock. As an example in my last test using these clock settings, the Chargers and Raiders combined for 111 offensive plays which when added to the 26(penalties, punts, FG's, Kickoffs gives us 137, right in range for a normal NFL game. Just something to think about......
Have to disagree with you on the plays. When you look at stat's they only count offensive plays as plays when they figure out the average yards per play. This is what I go by. When you go and look at stat's of teams and it list total plays and average yards per play this only includes when they are on offense. All you have to do is go look at the box scores of this past sunday. Most NFL games average 100 to 140 combined plays per game. This is the Pass attempts and rushing att's only. In the games I have played that is what I count as well. It all depends on the teams play style. It also depends on the number of big plays. If a team runs a lot of short passes and short runs and most drives take 12 or so plays then you will see more plays. If two teams run the ball a lot you will see less because the clock keeps running. For instance. The Cowboys and Giants ran a little over 100 plays combined. I think it was 105. This is only Passes and Runs. The Bears and Colts had 128 combined. Passes and Runs. The Washington and Saints had 131 combined plays. I admit that 140 is a little high. I go by the 120 average number. Those three games averaged 121 plays. You could have 110 or 135. This does not include all the other things you are saying.

I made some changes to the OP in all tree sets. I lower the fumble slider for user and CPU try and get more fumble. Use the rb button. I also made some changes to make the user run game a little more challenging. Thanks guys!

You are just flat wrong in your so called research. Avg NFL plays are 110-130 NOT counting penalties and all types kicks. This info is available through many outlets OR if you just read a box score.

Charter, i will try your sliders in my offline CCM now, but i want to know what's the best choice, your first normal speed slider, or the one you're using in your CCM? Not interested in slow speed, thanks!

I think the one I'm using is the best of coarse but, you might like the other normal speed one too. Just start an offline ccm and play a couple of games with both. I have made some changes to both lately. Neither are perfect but, you can have fun with them.
