Any suggestions on the offensive running game it's to easy and I really want a challenging match? Everything else I really like! NOTE: I played online CCM.

Note: During this game the CPU attempted a fake punt inside the 30yd line and was unsuccessful. I was also determined to stop the run game but was unsuccessful but it kept me involved with my game plan. Although my other concern while playing was that the Texans had P.Burress opposite A.Johnson, so I had to play a lot of mixing and matching with Zone/Blitz and Man/Zone, it worked nicely. |

Here is a very long post detailing the first 8 weeks of my real online CCM with charters base set and a number of tweaks mostly inspired by a mix of charter, SEC, BrianU, MarketingWhiz, and Jarrod with a little personal preference thrown in there. This was all typed on an ipad, bear with me

I write everything from my ipad, please ignore any weird symbols you see, sometimes pasting things over causes issues. Online CCM - mix of Gameflow/Conventional play calling (prolly a 50/50 split) All-Pro 15 minutes - 15 seconds minimum clock 45threshold Normal Speed 62 Fatigue - 25 INJ (SECs setting, still testing this one out) USER/CPU QBA - 5 - 32 PB - 30 - 50 WRC- 48 - 54 BT - 10 - 60 RB - 10 - 100 FUM - 12 - 12 PDRT - 75 - 95 INT - 18 - 45 PR - 47 -60 RDRT - 1 -99 BS - 10 - 99 TACK - 10 - 40 Special Teams (I use the right stick only rule, its quite exciting sometimes) 52 50 50 80 50 Penalties 85 65 54 54 100 100 100 53 100 53 100 Subs QB - 10/15 RB - 91/95 WR - 68/73 FB/TE - 68/73 OL - 10/15 DT - 78/83 DE - 78/83 LB - 65-70 CB- 50-55 S- 50-55 For what its worth, before inputting these sliders into CCM I took a suggestion from another poster in another thread and first put all the settings in my main menu (my madden from the main screen) first. Not sure why this would make a difference, but, you never know. I made sure everything in my main menu was exactly the same as it is gonna be in CCM and since then havent seen the CPU not rush for 110+ yards as a team with Charters sldiers + tweaks Year 3 - Week 1 - Redskins (me) vs Ravens Ravens at Redskins Griffin - 12/26/275/2TD/0int/Sacked once/2drops Griggs (stud second year player) - 25 carries, 68 yards Helu Jr - 11 carries, 47 yards Griffin - 2 carries, 22 yards Flacco - 12/24/120/1td/2int/sacked 3x/2 drops Rice - 30 carries, 203 yards Hightower - 2 carries , 11 yards That was the final game I played in my test CCM.... Start of real CCM, with new rosters, Chargers (simmed pre-season) Chargers (me) at Raiders This game was a butt kicking. It was 7-7 halfway thru the 2nd qtr and then just a string if bad plays happened. I gave up 3 TDs in a 3 minute span that just killed me. Rivers - 32/49/320/0td/2int/4drops/sacked 4x Mathews - 17 carries - 50 yards Slaton - 3 carries - 8 yards Palmer - 15/23/308/4td/0int/sacked twice/4 drops DMC - 32 carries, 156 yards, 4.8 avg Goodson - 5 carries - 36 yards (long of 31, had a lucky one) This loss is on me. I gave up the big plays deep on passes to Moore and DHB. My secondary is slow. I need to prepare for that better.* Only thing I am not happy with currently is fumble at 5. I think I put the ball on the ground 3x when I was holdinb RB the whole time and trying to avoid contact. only thing is I am not sure what the setting should be, so I will continue to play with it at 5 until I see charter make a change. I may end up leaving it at 5 but lowwering CPU tackle. havent decided yet, onto game 2 with no changes Week 2 - Titans at Chargers (me) A rainy day in San Diego, had me even more worried about fumbles, but there were NONE for eitehr team. On a very bad note...with the game in hand in the fourth QTR, Ryan Mathews tore his shoulder when I was trying to run the clock out. So stupid on my part...the game was over. Crap! 30-6 Chargers win. It was 7-6 at half time, and my TD was off a kickoff return. CJ2K had about 70 yards at half, but when I saw the way Locker was throwing, and then noticed at the halftime pause menu that he was on a cold streak, I changed my gameplan on D and solely focused on CJ, Locker was lost out there. Good to even up the record to 1-1 Rivers - 11/21/180/1TD/2int/2drops/sacked twice Mathews - 23 carries - 92 yards Slaton - 9 carries - 41 yards Locker - 17/35/199/0td/2INT/sacked 7x/2drops CJ2k - 22 carries - 95 yards Ringer - 7 carries - 30 yards Really bummed about Mathews. I am upping my RB auto subs to 91out/95in. He's only out for 4 weeks tho. Could be worse. Might sign hightower to split carries with Slaton in the meantime. Goal going forward: no more multi-INT games with Rivers, gotta either take the sack or throw it away... Game three, Falcons at Chargers (me) Chargers win 41-20 Rivers - 20/27/286/3td/0int/1drop/sacked4x Slaton - 34 carries, 67 yards* Brown - 3 carries - 14 yards Ryan - 19/41/210/1td/1int/4drops/sacked 6x Turner - 12 carries, 17 yards Snelling - 2 carries, 66 yards After this game I decided to make some more tweaks (I only change things every three games, these are after what I have seen from all three of these games averaged out), which are now reflected in the listing. I am raising CPU QBA to 32, CPU catching to 54, BOTH fumble ratings to 12 (this may change again soon, have not figured out the best balance for this number yet), lowered USER pass rush to 47. Onto Week 4! Note: I had two injuries goiung into week 4, Mathews and Vaughn Martin (was out for 5 weeks), both those injuries have reset as of this morning when I just went back into my online ccm to play week 4. Kinda lame, first time I have seen this happen to me. Is there an official way to fix this for future injuries? Week 4 At the 0-3 Chiefs* Not sure what is up with the Chiefs but they are cold as ice as a team going into this one 2 fumbles in this game, so after one game the setting at 12 is workin for me. Again, I only change things after 3 games so I have two more to go before deciding on other tweaks 17-0 SD at half. 17-10 going into the 4th 20-17 with 9mins left (Charles just broke a big one on me) Final - 23-17 Chargers. There were a number of plays that could of have gone either way. Even with CPU catching at 54, CPU controlled Jammer was able to make some great pass breakups on some one on one jump ball scenarios with Bowe Rivers - 22/38/263 tards/1td/0int/3drops/sacked once Slaton - 24 carries, 75 yards Brown - 12 carries, 69 yards Cassel - 13/23/162/1td/0int/6drops, y ikes, that was with catching at 54 too/sacked 4x* Charles -20 carries, 137 yards, long of 80 Moving on to week 5. As of right now the main things I am looking at changing after Week 6 game will probably be lowering USER pass rush even more, raising CPU catch even more, but lets see how the next two play first.* week 5 at New Orleans I walked into a buzzsaw on this one, Rivers got cold and I got 2 scores behind in the first half and never recovered. Started just throwing ducks with Rivers, killed my stat line. Some really ugly stats on my end for this game, played like crap and deserved to lose lost 21-49 Rivers - 22/38/226/1td/6int/sacked 4x/5drops Mathews - 9 carries, 42 yards Brees - 24/35/370/2td/0int/sacked once/1 drop Sproles - 38 carries, 131 yards Thomas - 4 carries, 13 yards Its too bad CCM cpu cant sub in their HBs for whatever reason like they do in play now, probably would have seen some nice HB stats for Ingram and Thomas in this game considering how long they had the ball Gotta bounce back, no more INTs! 5-0 broncos at 3-2 Chargers I lost 47-39 THis was another game where I got really aggressive, went for some 4th down attempts that burned me. Stupid. What killed me was Royal getting plastered on a punt return and the fumble being returned for a TD. I exited out before I could remember to write down the stats but it was another game where Rivers had to pass a lot as I got away from the run, again. Didnt throw a pick with Rivers this time though, yay there. Manning was like 22/30 and McGahee had a big day. I bottled him up easily in the first half but in the second he brokw a couple nice runs After playing my second set of three games, I am not changing anything. I probably should change fumbles, probably lower them to 9 or 10 for each side, but I am not just yet. 3-3 Chargers at 3-4 Browns This game was crazy. I had to come bask from 33-14 to win it 36-33. I was lucky to get a W in this one. Rivers - 26/41/314/1td/2int/1drop/sacked 2x Mathews - 21 carries - 129 yards - 3tds Weeden - 15/23/224/2td/1int/3drops/sacked 5x Richardson - 32 carries - 114 yards - 3.4 avg 0-7 Chiefs at 4-3 Chargers Chargers win 34-30, they took the lead on a great deep pass against a blitz over Jammer with Bowe with about 1:10 left on the clock. I drove down to the 4 yard line, had a 4th and goal down by 3 with 30 seconds left, decided to go for it and got a pass to Gates to win it. Great game. First play of the game Charles got me for a 75 yard run, so, that was a bad start DPP and trait wise lol Rivers - 31/42/383/3td/2int/sacked twice/5 drops Mathews - 22 carries , 102 yards Slaton - 7 carries - 29 yards Cassel - 20/30/249/2td/1int/sacked 4x/4 drops Charles - 19 carries, 163 yards, long of 75 THRU EIGHT GAMES 5-3 Offensive Rank : 17th Defensive Rank: 18th Yards Allowed - 2967 (1754 passing, 1213 rushing) - 32 sacks, 3 fumbles, 5 INTs (the sack number is high, only leading the league by 3 though. Has gotten better since I lowered user pass rush in week 4, could probably lower it a bit more) Rivers - 2,394 yards, 13 TDs, 16 INTs (6 of those came in one game, arghhhh) 62% completion, sacked 23 times Mathews - 106 carries, 498 yards, 3TDs, 71.1 per game, 4.7 per rush Slaton - 84 carries - 246 yards, 6TDs, 30 per game, 3.1 per rush Gates - 46 catcjhes, 542 yards, 3 TDs Floyd - 33 catches, 459 yards, 3TDs* I am happy with how these are playing out. I have to be absolutely on the ball when playing the run, the way it should be. Games are a bit high scoring, I might change minimum clock to 13 seconds. * * Keep in mind, I have had numerous injuries for a game or two here or there which has hurt my defense quite a bit, especially losing Donald Butler, who usually gets around 9 tackles a game but has been out for 4 weeks. my backup MLBs suck and it shows. Loving it right now. Will do an end of season report when I get there.

So, I don't know what to do about the fumble thing. I've honestly had to restart this Patriot game three times because I can't stand being down 27-0 because I've fumbled four times in the first quarter. Like, sometimes it's because I'm juking a guy and he tries to blast me, but then other times I'll hand off the ball, run into the line, and boom, the ball flies out.
Long story short, I'm raising the fumble slider. But, does that mean I'll never fumble and can put on the moves with no consequence? Because obviously that's not preferred.

Here are my first 3 games from my OFFLINE CCM with the Seahawks. I am using Charter's personal sliders with no adjustments. I use GamePlay for play calling.
Game #1:
- User rushing fairly easy - 2 user fumbles, but none lost - 1 CPU fumble lost - 9 user sacks - 1 user INT - Substitutions worked decent because I was rushing so much, 4th quarter I benched Lynch and gave Turbin and Lumpkin all the carries - Braylon Edwards injured and out 6 weeks with torn shoulder Game #2:
- User rushing easy again - 4 user sacks - CPU rushing broke 2 major big runs which accounts for the yardage, but completely reasonable - Absolutely no substitutions during this game which was unfortunate - 2 user INT - 1 user fumble, but none lost - 3 CPU fumbles LOST - Complete tale of 2 halfs, I thought I was going to get dominated but came back to win Game #3:
- User running easy too easy again - 1 user sack - CPU 5 fumbles, 2 lost - 0 user fumbles - Rodgers threw 3 picks, including a pick 6 - I was up big and Packers started cut it close late, but I pulled away. If it wasn't for turnovers I think they would have beat me to be honest - My HBs just would not substitute again So there are my first three games. Themes I had were user rushing was too easy for me. Fumbles were kind of high in 2/3 games. I think I may need to increase fatigue a hair to get more HB subbing. I need to find a way to make user rushing more difficult. Any suggestions? I chose the Seahawks hoping I would have a difficult season. I did not expect to start 3-0! I am putting up way too many points and it is because of the user rushing. The biggest problem with rushing is that breaking runs to the outside are just too easy. I know this is a common theme that others have notices. As you can see the user passing has been pretty spot on since my QB is Wilson. I have had some accuracy issues which is to be expected. One other thing that I wish would be better is the CPU ability to throw deep. It seems like every time the QB does throw deep it is a silly lob that just gets batted down. They hit the drag routes and screens no problem, but anything passed the linebackers is a rarity. I was hoping to get lit up by Rodgers or even Romo, but that didn't happen. Enough whining already I know. Let me just say that I am REALLY enjoying the game and I think these sliders are pretty darn good. I know we will all figure it out soon enough. And when we do, let's hope EA doesn't release a patch that screws us over! I may need to make a few tweaks for my skill level and whatnot. Any suggestions would be appreciated! |
