I have yet to get a consistent result with any setting. Also if it's "backward" then you wouldn't want both to be 0 would you? With user pass reaction at 0 the cpu would have a harder time passing. It would need to be user pass reaction 100, CPU pass reaction 0 if you wanted it to be easiest for the CPU and hardest for the user. I have tried that and it doesn't work that way. No one seems to know how they work. I know I don't. Thoughts?
It's important to point out that just because it's at 0, doesn't mean there will be lockdown coverage on every single play. Overall, however, the CPU does a better job of covering the pass with the slider at 0. I found that at a higher number, I could complete passes not only easier in a specific play, but more often. I can't do that at 0.

And the reason I have it at 0 for my defense is simply to make the game more "even". I want my defense to step up and play smart occasionally. To control the ability of the CPU to pass, I give them higher accuracy. This seems to make the CPU more aggressive throwing the ball, while the 0 reaction slider gives my guys the best chance of occasionally making a play.

I agree that the slider may be "broken" in that there is not a glaring difference between 0 and 100. It's more subtle, but I do think it is there over a large sample size of passes (and games).

The most glaring difference between 0 and 100 on the pass reaction slider, imo, was the ability to throw things like screens, flares, etc. These were just about automatic at higher reaction sliders. I felt like I could throw a screen pass whenever I wanted and it would get 15+ yards Can't do that at 0. These will be covered most of the time. Not EVERY time, because well, that is football. But it is certainly not automatic anymore.

I do agree that 0 for CPU pass coverage is slightly better then a higher number. The only difference I see though is curls and outs are covered a little better. Some games I have used 0 and had a field day against the CPU passing. I am just frustrated with some sliders like the pass reaction. I can't understand why EA doesn't make sliders more sensitive so we can make the game play how we want it.

Great stuff regarding my "favorite" M13 slider topic...

The dreaded "pass reaction" clusterf*ck...

Anyway:

I have a question regarding AP slider totals versus AM:

Does the kicking meter start going at All Madden speed exactly AT 300 (USER total) or BELOW 300 (299 and down)?

I have 300 total for the USER and 600 total for the CPU...

Will that keep the meter at AP or speed it up to AM level?

Continued thanks!

As far as I can tell 299 is when the meter speeds up. The CPU side doesn't matter

I hear that! It's probably the only thing preventing Madden 13 from joining The Show, NBA 2k, and FIFA in the great sports games discussion.

I increased the user QB accuracy to 20 because on 6 the QB won't hit anything in offline mode. A lot of my incompletion were do to drops.

I do like these and I'm going to do another game right now, I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: Charter04's Madden 13 All-Pro Sim Sliders

I really like your slider set Charter. Game plays much better with them. Only thing I'm not a big fan of is quarter length. Games just take too long to play.

Any suggestions on what I should move the clock to for a "shortened" version of your game?

Not really looking for super realistic stats. I'd be okay with Tecmo Super Bowl style stats as long as the game plays well.
