My apologies....
The sliders are done.... They are phenomenal.....
For those of you who play with XBox, YOU WILL HAVE reached
the Holy Grail of Madden (What happens on Sundays now happens on your flat screen EVERY-day).... What this means is that when these sliders are matched with PROPER REAL PLAYER ATTRIBUTES, not that over-clocked, over-'roided stuff that EA gives us every year, these sliders absolutely HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM....
For those of us on PS3, they rock, I believe the best I have designed yet, but you do have to deal with the handicap of having bad rosters as the underlying foundation.
I am currently in the process of "vetting" them out.... This is how my process works.....
I dial in the sliders to a new CCM Offline team and then play 5 games with that team....After the 5 games are over, I delete the CAREER FILE, and the PROFILE FILE, and start from scratch.... I plan on picking every team and playing 5 games with the new slider set.
I do this to make sure that the sliders are "pure" and that they "kick-in" immediately...
Of course, I meticulously track stats, animations, total plays, "feel" of the game, and whether or not their is competitive balance between team tendencies and the play I experience on the field (meaning the sliders are not the game, but rather that the sliders allow the tendencies and strengths of the team that I am playing to flourish) , that elite players play like GAME CHANGERS/BEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAASSSSSTS, that inferior teams, lose more often than win, that great offenses put up points, and the great defenses, keep the points off....
I can in FULL CONFIDENCE share with you that our collective goal of
the Holy Grail of Madden is within our grasp.... I have come to the realization that ACCURATE ROSTERS would be the
coup de grāce to plain vanilla M13 play, and from posts I have read, it looks like the XBox crowd is already on their way with this endeavor.
For those of you that have LOYALLY followed my thread since page 1, y'all know my feelings toward the formula for
the Holy Grail of Madden, that the "key" lies with having accurate player attribute rosters...The XBox folk are finding out, that my hunch was right, one of the biggest problems of getting "Sundays to play Everyday (aka
the Holy Grail of Madden) on your flat screen is having an accurate roster foundation....
I have played my sliders on PS3 with the 49'ers, Faiders, thus far.
As the 49'ers, the Defensive play is the hero, Gore and the running game is the only thing that you can count on for consistent offense. The 49'er defense can shut down any opponent on any given Sunday. Alex Smith is at his best when dinking and dunking the ball for short gains.
As the Faiders, penalties, turnovers, poor tackling, poor blocking and sloppy play are par for the course... Receivers constantly drop catchable balls, Palmer throws 1 to 2 picks a game, gets sacked, but every blue moon, can burn you deep... McFadden gets injured often, Janikowski bombs 55+ yard field goals and the Defense can't stop the run or pass... O-Line get's holding penalties as the MOST INOPPORTUNE times...
In other words, TEAMS play to their STRENGTHS and WEAKNESSES...
Would love to have a perfect player attribute roster set, but nevertheless, these NEWEST sliders have me in Madden heaven....
Hope to be ready to go to phase 2 by mid-week, where I will fore-go ALL HOUSE RULES, and play the CPU straight up, using money plays and run/pass blitzing the crap out of the CPU QB and monitor how gameplay and stats are affected and if the CPU A.I. adjusts to my money plays....
Stay tuned....
Keep playin'! Keep postin'! Keep Maddening!
the Gospel of Madden has spoken.
p.s. their is something wrong in the AI code for the 49'ers.... Gore's animation for trucking does not seem to work.... Also, on certain toss running plays, the RB seems to freeze, stutter step, then continue running...Any of you peeps seen this happening? Out.
