I had 12 drops my second game and 8 my first. Human WR catching needs to go back to 50. Everything else has felt good besides the drops.

Got in another game tonight but bumped the tackling back up to 55 and turned off auto strafe and auto sprint. I was the Vikes going into Indy with Luck at home. Their running game was able to get going right away and was strong all game. They had 3 backs get carries with Brown leading with around 160yds on 30+ carries. Luck also had a nice game thrown for 66% and around 200yds, no Tds! The story of the game was my 8 first downs to their 23. They managed 6 field goals in this one with 2 Tds. I had one pass play go all the way hitting Wright in the slot on a fly but other than that I was completely shut down. They put Ponder down 6 times and held Peterson to around 20yds on 18 carries or so. His avg was 1.6. The game feels great and Iove the challenge but I obviously have some work to do because I got throttled.

Thank you for the ringing endorsement, after all the time put into these suckers, a little pat on the back never hurts....

Now, regarding your question, their COULD be a casual relationship between lowering the TAK slider and the CPU run calling ... You see, it is my theory that "50" is the setting at which the attributes are neither highlighted nor dumbed down... Kinda weird to explain because IT IS NOT the sweet spot since many sliders are interlinked, and "50" does not necessarily mean that the true attributes come through at this number, I believe that at "50" the A.I. is programmed in such a way that "50" is a "weighted marker", kinda of like the place that tips the scale one way or another.... And since I have set the sucker at 55, I am telling the A.I. code that I am FAVORING/HIGHLIGHTING the tackle attribute.... To further my argument, by raising it "5" clicks above the tipping point, in essence I am saying that I am HIGHLIGHTING tackling by 10% (5 / 50 = .10)... Does that mean that the tackle attribute for the individual player is raised by 10%? NO!!!! Absolutely NOT!!! It means that whatever percentage of tackles are programmed to be missed at a setting of "50" now, I have reduced that by a 10% factor... This is why I kinda "giggle" when I get feedback that your ELITE LB's are not "missing" enough tackles.... H-E-L-L-O.... If there name is Matthews or Mayo or T. Spikes, or B. Scott, they miss MAYBE, 2 or 3 tackles ALL regular season!!!

Soooo, when we pass the "50" threshold, I believe that the A.I. senses that we have "highlighted" the tackle attribute, so the A.I. counter-punches by mixing in the pass... Does "55" shut down the CPU run game? NOPE, absolutely not, but my data supports more passing vs. having it below "50"... Went back and looked at my data sheets and while NOT CONCLUSIVE, their seems to be MORE THAN a casual relationship between the A.I. sensing that the HUM tackling is a strength (meaning since the setting is above 55) and thus reacts to "counter-punch" that strength....

This is why a "Under 75 True Madden Slider" set is my cup of tea.... The A.I. is a MUCH BETTER "counter-puncher" in True All-Madden.... And by counter-punching, the playbooks seem to mix it up better... BUT!!!!, if the CPU gets on a roll with the run game early, and smells blood, the mix is going to HEAVILY favor at least 25+ carries for the CPU's main RB, and the other RB's will also come to the part with at least 10+ rushes combined

For those of you that give my Xmas sliders a REAL SHOT, you will find that there are A TON gems built into the sliders that really make the game close to what we see on Sundays... It is not the "Holy Grail" set that I hoped for, but I personally don't think they too shabby....

My PM has been BLOWING up with kudos and props, not to mention most if not all the comments received thus far in the thread....

Wow.... AP shut down?!?!?!!? By the Colts of all teams??!?!?! Hmmmmm.... I think you need to practice following your blockers and laying off the turbo button, you may be hitting it too soon.... I like to hit my turbo button AFTER I have crossed the line of scrimmage and not until all my blockers have made an attempt to hit their secondary blocks.... In other words, I go at reg speed until a see the hole....

You my friend just disclosed ONE of my many TOP SECRETS to developing and testing sliders.....

I discovered early on with this Madden title, that to check the BALANCE of the sliders, COACH mode was a great tool.... I routinely would have a COACH MODE file with match ups between '49'ers and Packers, Faiders and Chefs, Pats and Texans, Giants and Skins, Panthers and Bucs and Seahawks and '49ers .... I wanted to see how the sliders worked, flowed, and whether or not I was killing the play-makers by over tweaking.... I found that COACH mode was an excellent resource to check how the tweaking played out, WITHOUT my skills aiding or hurting or influencing the play....

Sooooo, getting back to you on your PM you fired off to me yesterday, YES... A RESOUNDING YES, the XMAS sliders WILL WORK in Coach Mode...

In fact I was going to recommend to you if you wanted to start YOUR OWN "COACH MODE" slider thread and use my set as a starting point.... The instructions would be to plug in the USER setting for the USER and CPU, but obviously based on your post, you already figured that part out!!!!!!! Well, the invitation stands, if you want to "break off" and lead the charge for an EXCELLENT "COACH MODE" slider set...

Glad I could make M13 a little more palpable for you and hopefully it will lead to a more harmonious social life, since Madden is my "fix" to take the edge off of real life and life's "f'ed up" events, that constantly pop up on my flat screen and bum me out....

Thank you, thank you, thank you.... Just the type of criticism that I needed.... Not seeing as many drops as you are, but I do agree that the "happy place" for the WR CTCH setting is somewhere between 48 and 51.... Feel free to futz with the base I have laid out for you guys....
