If you can't adjust to these sliders while the game is going on, you have no chance in hell of coming up with a win; I like that. I learned quickly (on a PR and KR) if you try to get fancy with jukes, spins, stiff arms, you WILL loose the rock.

Sanchez looked good for the most part, which surprised me (sorry Jets fans ) What surprised me the most with this particular match up was the final score. However, last season against the Jets, Roethlisberger put up 275 for 2 TD which is pretty darn close to what happened in this game.

These sliders are so good Slider Wiz, I seriously could sit back with a brewski and watch a couple bro's battle it out

Mark Sanchez?!?!?!? Who knew?!?!?!?!

Niiiice game.... I agree with you 100% regarding having to make adjustments DURING the game or you will be smoked.... From your box score, it is obvious that you are having no problem generating a running game and were able to keep the CPU running game somewhat in check....

I am futzing with the passing game to find out if I can make it smoother, stay tuned....

Oh Gosh Yes.

But I don't think you'd have to give up the sexy too much. It just will be more limited to the higher SPC type players.

You can get sexy on 50, even 45 WR Catch, it will just be more difficult (and limited - say a one handed reach they can do, a leaping 1-handed grab and hold on after contact...maybe not) for the 80s to do it, but Moore with his 95 SPC saved my rear on throws so many times, most of them on 50 WR Catch.

Re: M13 KILLER SLIDERS FOR OFFLINE CCM... GUARANTEED CPU RUN GAME

Hey Wiz, just gave your new set a trial run and played several games. Overall, I like how the game plays at normal speed. The run game is dialed in for both user and cpu.

My only issue is the CPU passing game and USER Pass Rushing. I just cannot get the CPU to pass the ball efficiently or effectively. I've played games with this set where the CPU QB just plays awfully, though I have seen some good drives by the CPU. I've had 2 10+ USER sack games with this new set. Aldon Smith has two 4 sack games so far, but he is rated 99. My rookie LOLB and LE are playing like beasts, though they're only rated in the high 70's. They've both had multiple 3+ sack games.

So in an attempt to tweak your set, I wanted to improve CPU pass blocking, as well as improve the CPU passing game overall. Here's what I'm working with:

6/85
9/40
48/60

0/0
0/47
75/75

33/26
20/21
0/0

10/75
10/75
55/55

I increased QB Accuracy to 85. I really don't think this affects much, but I do notice fewer blatant miss throws, like when the CPU QB throws it out of bounds to a WR on an out route. I still see many overthrows, so I might increase to 100. QB's are still having trouble breaking 60% completion or 200 yards a game.

I increased CPU pass blocking to 40 to reduce the number of USER sacks and improve the CPU passing game. Might increase to 45, as I'm still seeing at least 4 sacks per game.

I increased USER Pass Defense Reaction Time from 26 to 33, to improve CPU passing. Not sure how this works, but you suggested increasing this to improve CPU passing.

My problem is I'm still not having challenging games. Although I tamed the USER sack issue I was having, I still don't see CPU QB's break 200 yards or 50% completion. In fact, the CPU has achieved this only twice in 7 games.

Any advice on how to strengthen the CPU passing game?

Here's a box score from my most recent game against the Bears with all of the tweaks I made. The game started off very realistically. The first quarter was a great back and forth defensive tug-o-war. But it gradually became a blowout, as Chicago had no answer on offense. They finished with 2/15 on 3rd down I think. The CPU pass rushing did well, recording 7 sacks against me. But that barely slowed me down, as I was still able to pass with ease. Btw, the Bears have Matt Ryan at QB (rated 90), while Cutler (rated 87) rides the bench. And they just picked a QB in the first round, rated 80. Lol Madden AI.

How would you recommend I improve the CPU passing game? Pumping up QB ACC doesn't seem to do much. Should I increase USER Pass Reaction even more? Should I tweak any penalty sliders? I don't understand how I'm not having realistic games with the CPU pass settings you created. I literally don't play defense. I "Ask Madden" and pick the most conservative play (usually Cover 2 zone with 3 or 4 pass rushers), and sit and watch. I don't user control or nano blitz or cheese or anything. However, my inside linebackers are probably the best coverage LB's in the game, with Willis and Bowman rated in the 90's for Zone and mid 80's Man coverage. Even Aldon Smith is rated in the mid 80's, though he rushes on most pass plays.

How would you recommend I improve the CPU pass defense? Should I increase CPU INT or reduce CPU Pass Reaction? Vernon Davis is too good in this game. He's like a cheat code. The CPU defense needs help. I've already dropped USER Catching to 48, to reduce his ability to catch in traffic, but that adversely affects other receivers that aren't as overpowered. For example, Crabtree kind of sucks when you lower USER catching, since he's a possession receiver, and hardly gets open.

Basically I want to strengthen the CPU in several areas, and I'm willing to give up some realism (DB mirroring, etc) for a more challenging experience. Can't have my cake and eat it too, I suppose.

Thanks again Wiz, I appreciate your time and effort on these sliders.

EDIT: So I'm thinking that maybe my team CCM is too overpowered. I over-upgraded my players, especially my LB's coverage abilities. I'm going to start a new CCM today with an updated roster, which will hopefully alleviate some of the issues I've been seeing.

On the comment of "stepping up" into the pocket, that is 100% correct, and you are also correct that at a higher QB ACC, your "mobility" around the pocket IS SO MUCH BETTER than it is at the lower QB ACC settings.... Where to set the QB ACC was a REAL ANGUISH for me.... Basically here was my dilemma: Better QB mobility to step up into the pocket and avoid the sack, OR, more sexy WR catching animations to spice up the passing game? I ultimately decided to go sexy v. QB mobility, but I am still torn about it and when I drop the Passing tune-up, may just go with QB mobility over sexy WR animations....

This is why I have come to loathe the "under 75" restriction for my slider work, cuz you just run outta "room" in a given sub-category and have to make sacrifices on what you are going give up...

I have been using QBA 10 and WRC 55. I think this strikes the perfect balance of both goals.

What's everyone doing for playbooks? I just played a whole season allowing the team specific books for each opponent and saw far too many rush attempts overall. NFL averages, historically, between 22 and 34 rush attempts per team per game with the average around 26 or 27.

I thought I was at a point with my other CCM where the team specific books were ok (year 3) but this was year 1 for this CCM and it was unbalanced. Maybe it settles down over the length of the CCM, but I am again wondering whether I need to go back to the generic playbooks to get a more realistic balance. What has everyone else been seeing with this regard?

Re: M13 KILLER SLIDERS FOR OFFLINE CCM... GUARANTEED CPU RUN GAME

Hey Wiz, I started a new CCM with your sliders and have played several games. I've had one kinda close game, but mostly blowouts. I just finished week 6, and am undefeated.

Week 1 @ Packers:

My gameplan was to use the read-option the same way the Niners did when Kaepernick rushed for 181 yards against the Packers in the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers was pretty ineffective passing the ball.

Week 2 versus Lions:

Week 3 @ Vikings:

This was the most back-and-forth game I've had yet. The Vikings actually had a lead for a little while, even though their Qb McNabb played poorly. This is the first game where my defense didn't get any sacks, forced fumbles, or interceptions. This is also the first game where my backup HB got any reps. Peterson killed me, he was unstoppable (as he should be). I feel that the running game is dialed in very well - good stats, and a noticeable difference between average and elite backs.

Week 6 versus Giants:

It was another blowout. Eli played poorly, throwing for 50% and 2 interceptions. There were 16 sacks total. The Giants couldn't sustain drives. Giants only completed 2 third-down conversions. Kaepernick was lights-out through the air, aided by Vernon Davis, who once again proved to be unstoppable. Randy Moss also showed up to play, and had 2 phenomenal catch and runs, both resulting in TD's.

Feedback:

- I'm still not seeing my backup HB enough, even though I run a lot.

- CPU QB's are still not consistent. They've collectively thrown 2 TD's and 6 INT's, with Fitzpatrick the only QB to throw more TD's than INT's.

- LOLB's get too much pressure on the QB versus ROLB's. I'm averaging too many sacks per game again. Every single one of Aldon's sacks were after switching him to LOLB. I start him as ROLB, but at some point in the game I'll switch him to LOLB, because he gets absolutely zero pressure as a ROLB, which is odd because his pass-rushing stats are elite. So when you see A. Smith and Brooks get sacks in the boxscore, it's when they're both playing LOLB. Brooks will get a sack or two in the first half, then I'll have them switch positions and Aldon will get a sack or two. If I just kept Aldon at LOLB, Brooks would average 2+ sacks per game and crush the NFL record, while Aldon gets none. If I switch Aldon to LOLB full time, he'll probably get 3+ sacks per game. Last game against the Giants, I switched Aldon to LOLB at halftime and he still got 3 sacks.

- I'm getting sacked a lot. I'm fine getting sacked, but often my blockers won't even touch the defender. The D-lineman will just come off the LoS completely untouched and get a sack before I can even throw it away. It's not due to a failed blitz pickup or anything, it's just that my blockers don't touch the guy directly in front of them. It's like an auto-sack, and I see it once or twice a game.

Well that's all the stats and feedback I have for this set so far. Thanks again for making and testing this slider set. Appreciate the hard work!

Edit: Also, anything I didn't mention in the feedback, is because I think it's well balanced, so no changes needed. I'm really liking this set, I just need to make some tweaks to make it a little more competitive.

Re: M13 KILLER SLIDERS FOR OFFLINE CCM... GUARANTEED CPU RUN GAME

Hey Wiz,
I read back to when you were talking about the 50 pass reaction. Is there a release date for these sliders? Cause I want to start a deep CCM with your slider
