Giants blew me out last night 31-17 ending my bid for a perfect season.

Beat the Lions today 20-13 in a very close game.

Still the best sliders for me.

I also gotta say that these are the best sliders so far. However, I have the feeling that there are too many high scoring games or ist that just me? I hardly have games where the QB has less than 30 attempts. Most of the time they have 40, sometimes they even have 50, but are also running the ball 20 times.

I also think that the INT sliders are a bith too high. Dalton and Fitzpatrick threw for 9 INTs combined in two games. It was raining, though. Not sure how the weather influences the stats. Tackling also needs a bit adjusting. I upped it to 20-25 and it seems fine, now.

I think thats just the game. I have tried at least a dozen different sliders and the playcalilng is all like that. Ive had the CPU run on 3rd and 17 with 23 seconds left, no timeouts. Ive tweaked these a bit (break tackles were too bad). My games are ok..just not enough scoring. Im waitin till the patch.

Xavier12: Thank you for your continued support. I am not one to toot my own horn, but IF, and ONLY IF, you play these sliders out at least 8 games, do you have the objectivity to be able to rate and comment properly on these sliders. Dropping your comments on here after one half, or one good/bad game, is not productive to this thread. Thank you my fellow Maddenite for sticking with it. Keep us informed.

vicaddict: Thank you for your support. I have tried all the slider sets being pimped through Operation Sports, and my honest assessment is that those sliders that work the best for me, are those that have a HIGH SPEEDTHRESH and a LOW GAMESPEED at the foundation of their slider set.

I agree with you vicaddict, that as I continue to play MORE and MORE with the base slider set, I too ALSO SEE IMPROVEMENTS that should be made. For example, I believe that the DB play by the CPU may be too hawkish, thus creating a higher number of INT's. Can the futzing with the INT slider fix this? Dunno, but I am going to wait for the patch to begin to experiment and find out. I believe that the CPU RUNBLOCKS are held too long. Can the HUM BLKSHD slider fix this? Dunno, but I am going to wait for the patch to begin to experiment and find out. The list goes on, but the gist of the matter is that EA needs to first send us the "patched up" code so that the slider community then begin to tweak the sliders to deliver realistic NFL franchise experience.

If the computer is calling 3 run plays in a row with a minute left in the game, tied, or down by a touchdown, that's a major problem. Regardless of if it happens only on the first game.

rayb: I concur with your assessment. Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback. I agree with you, IT IS THE EA's LOGIC/CODE that is jacked up, hence why ALL slider sets have pros and cons, this set included.... DUUUUUUH.

This is why I am NOT one of those slider dudes that is changing their slider sets every third hour on the hour. I have dropped my base set and stuck by its laurels. Those Maddenites that play them out over at least 8 games, will find that these slider may be among the best available on the OS community forum.

Note, THE BASE SET IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Some Maddenites can really let their fingers fly on the control pad and prefer a faster game setting and/or a lower speed threshold to achieve a greater sense of competition by having actions happen a lot faster on the screen. This is the dude whose fingers will mash through the controllers buttons about once every month. This finger ji-jutsu fiend, is not me. This will never be me because I don't chug cocktails concocted of Red Bull/Mountain Dew/Triple Shot of Espresso/with a dash of RockStar energy shot as I sit down for a game of M13.

A beer, and some Zepplin playin' in the background, and I am good to go.

thebizarrojerry: What's up bud? I concur that this would not be cool for those us that are looking to play a realistic sim. You have brought this up several times in this thread, so is this something that you have experienced once? Or is it, that over the course of a franchise, it pops up every single game? Personally, I think it has happened to me once or twice. So I concur, it has happened to me as well, but I did not believe it had to do with the settings. I say this because I have tried other slider settings being preached in OS and similar events have happened, so I believe that the problem lies in EA's faulty code/logic that all Maddenites are dealing with right now in CCM. I mention CCM because I have not seen that in PLAY NOW mode, but then again, PLAY NOW mode is not an ongoing, consistent database pool of data, that is being built upon, week to week, as it is in CCM franchise mode. The data set in PLAY NOW is re-set every time you play a new game, which is why it seems to play just right.

Share with us other weaknesses or limitations that you have experienced playing this base set of sliders. Thanks brawwh.
