#2 Halfback Theory

Okay so we all know that the CPU isn't giving anywhere close to the right amount of carries to their #2 Halfback. I haven't tested this yet and I haven't seen it posted anywhere around here, so here it goes.

Is it possible that the CPU isn't giving their backups carries because, with accelerated clock on, the CPU HB has too much time to recover from being tired? So basically, would lowering the accelerated clock (or just turning it off) make the difference? I'm going to test that in a little bit and find out.

Re: #2 Halfback Theory

I pretty much exclusively play with accelerated clock off, and still never see many reps for the second back.

Most games the primary back gets something like 135 carries, while the backup gets 15-20.

Re: #2 Halfback Theory

It all has to do with auto-subs. Tweak that correctly and the #2 back and occasionally #3 back will get in the game.

dude what the hell are you doing that you games have 150 rushing attempts? I think you need to look at that before worrying about the frequency of the 2nd backs carries.

Id guess the answer may or may not lie in using auto sub frequency but who knows if those work or what

I think we are talking about the CPU bro, and no, regardless of settings the CPU HB1 rarely comes out

Re: #2 Halfback Theory

I hardly get carries by the backup rb, although when they do, they get good gains, and it's kind of disappointing to not see the A.I. go to the backup more when they are producing compared to the starter.
