people wanted penalties, there ya go. LOL.

roughing the passer is still terrible as ever. i played a full game with it at 62, 6 of them combined. lame! im making that default 50 again. bc per usual at 50 to 54 no calls, at 55 even a ton, no thanks.

DPI/OPI, terrible per usual. these dont ever get called unless the user hits a guy by mistake. i had 4 of them on 50 over my tests games out of my season. i had one this game bc i tackled the guy to soon, had nothing to do with the sliders at 100. im defaulting these back to 50 as well.

it was nice to see facemasks, holdings, clippings, and even false starts. we will see how these go, but IMO the game (as JareBear mentioned above) felt really different. we shall see though, ill give it a few more games.

as for the game itself, it was a fun one. typical Browns and Bengals game!

i updated the penalty sliders on the 1st post and added "test" to them. as i dont really recommend them yet. but try them out and see how they play out for you.

thanks..

pretty solid game here..

just something feels off.. this game just had a few holdings and a few face masks. nothing over the top though! but something just dont feel right.

i think im going to bump up the speed threshold for one. the kick/punt returns are just too easy. i want to see if threshold at 75 or 87 feel better than 50.

another solid game here..

a few holdings and a pass interference on me bc i tackled the guy by mistake.

im honestly not feeling the penalties away from default. as you can see, i still had holding/clipping/off sides/false start/intentional grounding etc at 75. does nothing for me or the game on a default feel.

i also played this game on speed threshold on 87. i noticed zero difference between 87 and 50. which IMO is very odd.

on to the next one..

Just trying out a few sliders here and there to get a sense of what I like and don't like. After playing a couple games with the default sliders, I felt some things needed to change. The offenses were too effective moving the ball down the field and quarterbacks were deadly accurate. Receivers were also able to catch everything that was thrown their way. Not to mention the running game which was super effective (mine more so than the cpu's)

Initial thoughts after the first game was the offense is still very effective. Ponder did have a slow start, but really started to torch my secondary in the second half. If it wasn't for all the dropped passes from the Vikings wide receivers (9 total drops with 4 from Greg Jennings) Ponder could have had 350+ passing yards. As for the Vikings running game, Adrian Peterson had a good game.

For the most part, there wasn't much pressure for the entire game. Rod Ninkovich of the Patriots managed to get 3 sacks though. With all that said and done, I don't like to make any quick judgments after one game. I'll play a few more games to see if I find any trends and then make my final decision. As of now, it's not looking so bad.

As far as the penalties, I've grown accustomed to the penalties not working, so I don't really pay attention to them. I've rarely played a game of Madden and had 6 called penalties though, so it's heading in the right direction for me.

Re: Fiddy's Madden 25 Custom Sliders

Ill play a few more games tomorrow as I have the day off. I was reading an interesting thread on the ncaa boards regarding speed threshold, and the testing found the sweet spot to be 25. It gave enough separation between wr and lb but was still enough for the linemen to get into position for blocks on runs where guards pull across to take on lbs. Ill give it a go with the sliders and see how it pans out

good stuff man.

question, did you use the penalties on page 1? or did you leave them at default?

if you used the penalties, try out the sliders with default penalties. see how it goes for you.

when i adjusted the penalties the games to me felt very easy to move the ball. prior to that, i couldn't muster up much on offense.

yeah, i used that method and thinking of the speed threshold for my NCAA sliders.

the thing is for me, in NCAA, the speed threshold seems to be a key slider in having the user and cpu sustain drives. meaning, lower thres at 25, meant faster scoring drives, 3, 4, 5, 6 play scoring drives. on 75 and up i started seeing 11, 12, 13, 14, and a 18 play CPU scoring drive. things of video game beauty.. LOL. ive settled on 85 for NCAA.

i tried 87 (in between level for Madden) thres, and i couldn't tell a dang difference between 50. i thought having it higher would help the long runs and kickoff/punt return TD's, it did not. is it broke or just not as effective in Madden? very odd..

Re: Fiddy's Madden 25 Custom Sliders

i updated the 1st post..

i defaulted all the penalties back to default. any changes to them make the game play much worse IMO. way to wide open with any changes for my liking.

i also updated the CPU Pass Coverage from 62 back up to 75.
